Asha Gold delivers stunning visuals for debut single ‘Too Good’

Last year, ASHA GOLD made waves with her debut single ‘Too Good’, quickly amassing over 10,000 monthly Spotify listeners since it’s release one month ago. The R&B-influenced electronic pop tune was also played by BBC Radio 1’s Jamz Supernova, selected for Tidal’s Rising: R&B playlist, and also gained praise at Colors, Elevator, Clash Magazine, Earmilk and more.

Following this initial success, Asha Gold delivers stunning visuals in collaboration with AIME Magazine and filmed by Nick Bailey.

Speaking about the concept behind the ‘Too Good’ video, this West London newcomer says:“I wanted the visuals for “Too Good” to project the positive message of the song, and express who I am in an authentic but engaging way. We aimed to capture a balance of fun and youthful shots, to reflect the confidence and vulnerability in the song.”

It’s Time To Figure Out Tia Carys In Brand New Track

Listed as one of The Independent’s ‘Ones To Watch’ for 2020, TIA CARYS fly kicks her way into the decade with her first offering of the season, ‘Figure Me Out’.

Making a mean statement of arrival, the record has been added straight onto Spotify playlists ‘New Music Friday’, ‘Rap UK’ and ‘We Move’ and follows on from her heavily supported and bold debut introduction ‘English x Ghana’, which dropped at the end of last year and awoke the UK music scene to her sound.

Evident from the outset on ‘Figure Me Out’, Tia Carys has an exceptionally refreshing aura and talent – at just 19-year-old! The production choice in itself breathes energy, intrigue and distinctiveness as the heady beat, skippy high hats and atenteben flute open this one woman show. Although a newcomer to the game, her confidence soars at level 100 as she delivers alternating flows that are something of a spectacle. Naturally switching between head spinning scattergun delivery and composed, deliberate punchline drops, her time spent dropping Instagram freestyles and building a loyal fanbase has all leant to her current arrival.

Growing her initial fanbase from Instagram by reworking tracks and freestyles from the worlds top artists including Drake, Fredo, Burna Boy, Nafe Smallz and Dave, it didn’t take long for the English/Ghanian rapper to catch the attention of Renowned, whose family she has now joined alongside Wretch 32 & Hamzaa.

Accompanied by sharp and polished visuals from collaborator Ray Fiasco, which see the rising star deliver a magnificently powerful performance, Tia says of the release: “English x Ghana was the introduction to who I am, now it’s time to Figure Me Out.”

NO BAKING SODA is ready to set the tone for what’s to come in 2020 with brand new single ‘Cereal’, proving this East London artist is truly in a lane of his own.

Having burst onto the scene a few years ago as part of the 3OW / WZRDSHIT collective, NO BAKING SODA (formally known as Mr. Jaeger) has become known for his unique, laid back delivery and his introspective bars about the hard life of a kid growing up in Homerton, Hackney, with a core theme of his music being the problems the inner city presents.

After taking time away from releasing his own music, 2019 saw Soda return and dip his feet into several creative opportunities including opening up his North London recording studio The Cave 2.0. After collaborating on songs with the likes of Jatz Da Kid & Finesse Tha World Records he released his first solo single ‘iPod’, a bouncy, nostalgic track showcasing his comfort with flow. The track was praised highly in the underground circuit, giving Soda the extra push he needed for recognition as one of London’s most sensational newcomers.

Now closing out the year strong with the release of his latest video ‘Cereal’ – produced by long term collaborator Orangesky – Soda skates naturally over the beat displaying his elite level of rhyming, laying down some on his trademark bars about the hustle in East London. While the lo-fi visuals demonstrate his signature style mirroring an authentic early 90s New York get up. With lyrics like “had roaches in my cereal and in the oven, wish it was a joke bro but it really wasn’t”, Soda goes into the struggles he’s faced growing up. Speaking on the track he states,
