Song of the Day: Show Me -Molly Hammar (ft. Kim Cesarion)

Chart topping Sensation MOLLY HAMMAR teams up with Swedish star Kim Cesarion for the stunning single, ‘Show Me’.

Produced by Pontus Persson, ‘Show Me’ is the third single from Molly’s forthcoming EP and follows hit singles ‘No Place Like Me’ featuring Big Narstie and ‘WORDS’. A spirit of adventure, independence and self-discovery continues to shine through Molly’s latest offering which carries a strong positive message “bring back the romance!”

MOLLY HAMMAR grew up with jazz musician parents and Kim Cesarion has a background in classical music, but it is through their shared love for R&B and pop that they found each other musically. Kim Cesarion had his breakthrough in 2013 with his debut single ‘Undressed’, a track that has amassed more than 24 million YouTube views. He returned last year with the EP ‘Bleed’ from which the lead track had its world premiere on a plane to SXSW in Austin.

Previous singles from Molly’s hotly anticipated second EP have garnered widespread media support across the UK and globally from the likes of BBC Radio 2, BBC 1Xtra, Channel 4, The Line of Best Fit, Complex, NYLON and Idolator.

The next few months will see MOLLY HAMMAR complete a short summer tour in Sweden and release her EP, that finds Molly baring her soul on the dynamic within relationships, her own identity and lost nights out in London.

New Track: Nokia Nostalgia – FooDoo

The multi-instrumentalist and unclassifiable electronic music producer, FOODOO enlists the vocals of Bonkaz, Dotty, Mugun and Marvz Skee for the release of his ‘Be Like’  EP. The visuals to lead single ‘Nokia Nostalgia’ ft Bonkaz dropped via Link Up TV last week.

Littered with musical influences that see the tracks lend from jazz, hip-hop, grime, funk, soul and R&B, FOODOO has a clear talent in being able to both capture and portray emotion through his productions before a vocal is even laid. Hazy beats, downtempo pop and woozy R&B give the E.P both a welcoming and intoxicating aura.

Having started his production journey at the age of just 14, the London-based talent received his first radio play just 4 months later on BBC Radio 1Xtra. His work soon caught the attention of artists and labels alike, resulting in him working and remixing for Bonkaz, Sway, Tiggs the Author, Bluey Robinson, Glasser and Raheem Bakare, with the music releasing through Pitched Up (Sony), Warners, True Panther Sounds, Tru Thoughts, Kitsune and Otherway Records.

His solo releases to date have resulted in critical acclaim from the likes of iD Magazine, Clash, Pigeons and Planes, The405, Indie Shuffle and Complex UK, highlighting him as a gifted producer with a promising future, something his new release is not only expected to live up to but also exceed.

New Music Video: The Stone – Jerome Thomas

Following the release of his acclaimed debut EP ‘Conversations’, East London vocal powerhouse, JEROME THOMAS presents a mesmerising performance in the new video – directed by Christopher Cargill whose portfolio includes Giggs and Emeli Sandé –  for lead track, ‘The Stone’.

‘The Stone’ is one of the lighter more self-explanatory tracks from the socially conscious EP, tackling topics that still remain taboo within the music industry. It is a personal and sincere body of work, devoid of banality, inspired by Jerome’s observations of society and conversations with close family and friends.

The Dalston native has been championed by the likes of The Fader, i-D, Idol Magazine and MTV, as well as receiving key radio support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and Rinse FM. Having headlined a number of sold out shows at Bush Hall, Notting Hill Arts Club and Queen Of Hoxton, and aligning himself with revered industry peers such as Hannah Faith (Soulection), Black The Ripper, Footsie (Newham Generals) and Davinche, it is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the talents of this genre-defying artist….check him out!

Interview with: Sticky Blood

Sticky blood 2

After leaving Arctic Monkey members Andy Nicholson and Jamie Field started up their project, STICKY BLOOD last year and since then, it’s been full steam ahead. The production duo have worked with a list of heavyweights, including Clubs and Spades as well as dropping tracks from their debut EP I.D…and since they’re a massive hit with you guys, I think they deserve the interview seat this month.

NLM: You guys released your debut EP Professional last month Tell us the story behind this project?

SB: We wanted to create a body of work which encompassed the various genres of music we like. Working with Hekky, Snowy & Ajay Carter this was achieved.

NLM: What’s the public’s reception on the EP since its release?

We feel blessed that so many BBC Radio 1 & BBC Radio 1xtra presenters played our debut EP, and then there’s regional radio too. Considering we were unknown artists and all our featured artists were unknown, it’s amazing how well our music was received.

NLM: What’s your favourite track on the EP and why?

Andy – Professional;  Jamie – I.D.

NLM: How would you describe your music to potential fans?

SB: Listenable. It’s a difficult one this, how we may describe our music may be very different to how its heard by one of our fans.

NLM: Let’s take a look into your early life…what did you do before getting involved in the music industry/Arctic Monkeys?

We have both always been involved in music. Our lives started here…

NLM: What’s your proudest project outside Arctic Monkeys and Sticky Blood?

We are working on a secret project at the moment with other well-known artists. You will have to wait for the answer on this one. Its staying top-secret for the time being!

NLM: You work with a string of creditable artists, including Terri Walker…but If you were to collaborate with just ONE more chart-topping artist of today, who would it be?

Andy – Kwabs;  Jamie – Fetty Wap.

NLM: So What are your plans for 2015 and beyond? Do you have any upcoming gigs?

SB: We have our next EP – Blood is Stickier than Water out on Nov 20th. This EP was recorded down at Red Bull studios in London with Hekky, Terri Walker, a special guest, Coco & Snowy.

NLM: How can potential fans reach you?
