Following their debut appearance on the blog with single ‘Light It Up’, alt pop-rock trio HUNGER share their carefree video for the latest uplifting offering.
The electrifying act has garnered global attention through their track ‘Amused’, which was featured as part of the soundtrack to Netflix’s ’13 Reasons Why’ and on several TV and online commercials. ‘Amused’ also amassed over three million Spotify plays.
Describing her sound as one part Abba and two parts Twin Peaks, GRACE LIGHTMAN unveiled a rather earthy video for latest single, ‘An Ordinary Life’.
Speaking of her alt-soul offering, Grace says: “An Ordinary Life is a love song to the human race, from the perspective of the Silver Eater. It’s bittersweet as it comes from a place of awareness that she will never be able to have the ordinary life she wants, almost like an unrequited love.
This is one of the more personal songs on the record, capturing the alienation in a wistful way that I hope people can relate to. In our moments of vulnerability we do just wish we could fit in, even if we know we shouldn’t try to”
Signed to London based indie label, Handsome Dad Records (home to the likes of Inc. No World, Babeheaven etc), Grace has received support from 6Music and Radio One with previous single, ‘Zero Impact’.
Just in time for Summer with a perfect mix of laid-back island vibes and emotionally laden lyrics, British Trinidadian singer/songwriter TERI ELOISE presents her third single, ‘Common Sense’ into today’s limelight.
Speaking of her latest release, which received a seal of approval by BBC introducing, Teri says: “While writing Common Sense, I was reflecting on past relationships and remembering the many instances where my love/infatuation for others blinded me to a point where I was allowing myself to be used and mistreated. This song is me taking a step back and asking myself, where’s all my common sense? Why am I allowing this?”
Accompanied by colourful and trendy filter-infused visuals which highlights Teri’s playful side, ‘Common Sense’ follows her last release, ‘Lose Myself’ backed by a feel-good beat and infectious chorus.
Teri is set to perform this breezy banger alongside her female empowering debut single ‘Blossom’ and soulfully sweet ‘Lose Myself’ today (1st August) at Camden’s Dublin Castle.
ELIZSABETH‘s single is the ultimate anthem of self-empowerment. The true essence of her brand new offering illuminate the track, highlighting simple delicate piano, candid vocals and shimmering layered harmonies, which resonate deep in the soul.
The London-based songstress reveals: “The song is about regaining back our power after giving it away for so long and in doing that finding a freedom we didn’t realise we were missing”.
Having garnered acclaim for her previous releases, including reaching number two in the UK singer/songwriter iTunes Chart, for her single ‘My Comfort Zone’, ELIZSABETH continues to shed layers, evolving into who she is, whilst radiating positivity. Fuelled with emotion, ‘I Choose Myself’ currently available worldwide.
FREDDIE FUTURE‘s latest electro pop offering ‘Giving In To You’ is about the unhealthy relationships that people often return to, out of comfort and familiarity – knowing from the start that the outcome is bleak. Despite being hopeless romantics, the single also stresses the importance of differentiating the IDEA of love from authentic, healthy love.
‘Giving In To You’ is from Freddie’s self-titled debut EP, available now on all streaming/downloads sites.
