Uffie Delivers Bold Electro-Pop On New Single “Mine”

Electro-pop princess UFFIE continues her return to music with the release of a sparkly new single titled ‘Mine’. Co-written with Imad Royal (Panic! At The Disco, Bea Miller) and Rogét Chahayed (Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Halsey), the latest offering is melodic electronic perfection that calls back to UFFIE‘s signature “party-ready” vibe while still maintaining the more nuanced pop aptitude that the French-American artist has demonstrated in her recent work.

Since releasing her ‘Tokyo Love Hotel’ EP earlier this year, UFFIE has been welcomed back, arms wide open, to the music industry. Her new music has been praised by key tastemakers such as V Magazine, PAPER, i-D, FLAUNT, and DAZED, and has led to headlining gigs at Elsewhere (NYC) and Moroccan Lounge (LA). In addition to sharing her own music, UFFIE also recently co-wrote P!NK’s new single “Hurts 2B Human (ft. Khalid).” 2019 is proving that she’s is ‘ufficially’ back!

New Track: Like Me – J Lndn

Californian born producer and hip-hop artist J LNDN dropped his debut single ‘Like Me’ drawing influence from Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar and Jaden Smith.

The young emcee began his musical career as a teenager when he was living in London saying: “I slowly started attempting to rap/ freestyle from 15 years old. My friends and I would always link up after school just to spit some bars. Nobody was taking it seriously, but it was fun.” After being brought an electronic drum pad, J began making beats and started learning how to mix and master tracks. Over the years he had established himself as a producer for other artists.

Having grown up in a middle-class household and lived in cities across the world, J states how his inspiration doesn’t come from a place of hate or criminal behaviour like a lot of hip-hop artists. Instead, he wants to help people think outside the box. When explaining ‘Like Me’ and his motivation, J said: “I make my music for real people. Music that people can party to, can chill out to, and can use it as therapy to deal with their inner issues.”

With tracks addressing race, mental health issues and drug abuse in the music industry in the pipeline, J LNDN is certainly the one to keep an eye on…check him out below…

Song of the Day: Last Goodbye – Zoey Lily

Following up on February’s single ‘More’, supported by the likes of BBC Introducing London, TMRW magazine, The Line Of Best Fit and BuzzFeed, ZOEY LILY returns with another unique pop offering in the shape of ‘Last Goodbye’.

This song immediately taps into the heart, unfolding Zoey’s delicate vocals at its rawest. The Instinctive wordsmith tells the story of rather letting someone go than staying close enough to keep getting hurt. Complementing the vulnerable feeling of Zoey’s vocals, the track opts for ambient piano, with soft electronic elements and distant drumming, alternating with male shouts which gives off a dark atmosphere that is both intimate and anthemic.

ZOEY LILY (née Zoe Lily Lewis) may be a relative newcomer to the world of left-field pop, but for this 20-year-old talent, musicianship is no passing fancy. The Hackney-based artist first delved into creative expression at age 13 when she began playing piano and her first wide-eyed forays into songwriting. Later, at age 17, Zoey found herself drawn to her father’s acoustic Martin guitar, the instrument which she still writes most of her songs with today.

This promising youngster has set out to become a highly independent and original songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, co-producer and dancer, drawing cues from a wide-range of essential artists, including Lana del Rey, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean and Vince Staples.

Have a listen to her beautiful latest offering….
