Song of the Day: Common Sense – Teri Eloise

Just in time for Summer with a perfect mix of laid-back island vibes and emotionally laden lyrics, British Trinidadian singer/songwriter TERI ELOISE presents her third single, ‘Common Sense’ into today’s limelight.

Speaking of her latest release, which received a seal of approval by BBC introducing, Teri says: “While writing Common Sense, I was reflecting on past relationships and remembering the many instances where my love/infatuation for others blinded me to a point where I was allowing myself to be used and mistreated. This song is me taking a step back and asking myself, where’s all my common sense? Why am I allowing this?”

Accompanied by colourful and trendy filter-infused visuals which highlights Teri’s playful side, ‘Common Sense’ follows her last release, ‘Lose Myself’ backed by a feel-good beat and infectious chorus.

Teri is set to perform this breezy banger alongside her female empowering debut single ‘Blossom’ and soulfully sweet ‘Lose Myself’ today (1st August) at Camden’s Dublin Castle.

SOTD: Frenzy Takes A Stand On Knife Crime In ‘Murder Mile’

Hackney rapper FRENZY delivers his track entitled ‘Murder Mile into today’s hotspot’; a gritty, real yet modern depiction of the issues with knife crime Hackney are currently facing.

The latest offering serves as the title track off his long awaited ‘Murder Mile’ EP, which as a whole is a statement about the real life impact of knife crime in London, as well as a positive look towards the future.

With as many gritty and dark cuts as there are upbeat and bouncy ones, ‘Murder Mile’ is a true reflection of the ying and the yang of what life presents, and with big features from the likes of Sam Wise, Knucks, Kadiata and many more, it’s set to make a big statement this year.

With Drill continuing to top the charts, and many of these artists having grown up alongside FRENZY, the unapologetic ‘Murder Mile’ EP aims to shine a light on the gruesome reality that is only seen by the people living in these poverty stricken areas that are commonly glorified in music today.

Song of the Day: U.F.O – Frazer

After dropping a snippet on Instagram that showed the making of his latest track ‘UFO’, the music world has come alive to revel in the producer-artist powers of FAZER.

Heading straight to the comments, some of the UK’s finest emcees including Octavian, Ghetts, LD, Frisco and Wretch 32 were quick to give their stamp of approval to the record and certify it as an icey cold joint, whilst others, including Bonkaz called for studio time ASAP, placing FAZER well and truly in the thick of the latest UK music wave.

Following a run of records that have seen him deliver creative, visionary music, something that he has always been famed for since his foundational N-Dubz days, ‘UFO’ is FAZER’s latest single. The trippy Trap instrumental lends on energetic grime flows and futuristic vibes that relate to the current sonics of current chart smashes yet it doesn’t get lost as it stands out from the crowd with its own style. Undoubtedly heating up to take the charts by storm alongside Dappy and Tulisa for the forthcoming N-Dubz releases, FAZER is working with no restraint as he takes his new music out of this world.
