EP Review: Isolate – Richie Ashwin
It’s been so looooong since RICHIE ASHWIN appeared on NEW LEASE MUSIC, that I began to wonder whether he disappeared of the face of the Earth! Anyways I’m very glad to have him back and his latest EP, Isolate.
Unlike his 2013 self-titled EP, which comprises ecochic fusions of RnB, dubstep and hip-hop, the British songster adopted a more simple, whiter-than-snow soundscapes, where the smooth atmospheric drive reverbs throughout each production, working in perfect harmony with the heavenly sweet-overtones. A must-have collection for chilling out – and getting busy between the sheets!

Today’s dish of the day is Ride On by Welsh alternative rock/pop act CHERRYSHOES.
Fronted by the mesmerising L-J, their hypnotic brand of dark pop noir has been described as uniquely powerful, intriguing and yet beautiful .CHERRYSHOES recently performed two sets at Latitude festival and are currently recording their first album.
Ride On has been played on various radio stations all over the globe and recently had its first airing on BBC Radio 6 Music. The group recently performed the song live for BBC Introducing.

New Track! Fires – These Your Children (TYC)
UK-based singing/songwriting duo Rebeka Prance and Joe Baxter, better known as THESE YOUR CHILDREN (TYC), debut their new track Fires, taken from their EP of the same name, set for release on 9th November.
Hailing from Nottingham, TYC describe their sound as ‘storytelling music’ with an undercurrent of African freedom songs that combine passionate vocals and delicate melodies.
Their forthcoming 4-track EP Fires aims to stay true to their intimate vocals by exploring an emotive angle, yet showcasing their eagerness to experiment with a bolder, tribal sound.
The folk/pop pair will headline a London show at St Pancras Old Church on 25 November, in association with Mahogany Sessions. Tickets available via ticketweb.
New Music Video: Lion Star – Ella On The Run
London-based, alt-pop artist ELLA ON THE RUN unveils the music video for ‘Star Lion‘, taken from her War of Words EP out now.
Her debut single Golden Boys was placed onto Glastonbury’s long list for emerging artists in 2014. Last October, she was filmed and interviewed by the BBC who visited her on the set of her single War of Words about age restrictions on music videos.
War of Words was supported well, most recently by BBC Introducing. Ella is heading to LA this month to begin recording her new EP.
