Hailing from Newcastle, alternative hip hop and electronic artist JOHN DOLE‘s single, ‘Moving’, is a reflection of his own personal
battles.
The latest release opens to paranoia-drenched synth strings, lending a tense and uneasy feel that sets the
scene for the bars to come. Dole’s vocals enter alongside hard-hitting percussion which
immediately ups the intensity levels further with an itching, fervent energy.
With regional and national support from the likes of Nick Roberts (BBC Introducing North East),
Huw Stephens (Radio 1), John Kennedy (Radio X) and Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music), ‘Moving’
follows in the footsteps of earlier releases, ‘Rolling’ and ‘Collective Thoughts’.

Singer/songwriter MARIE-CLO wrote single ‘Shell’ when she was incredibly sick with polycystic ovary syndrome…and just as her music career was taken off, she found a lump in breast. As you can imagine, she felt defeated as well as petrified.
Possessing a soothing alt-pop drive, ‘Shell’ chronicles Marie-Clo’s above journey and her fears of death. Despite the uncertainly for the future, she pushed through her anxiety and trauma – along with a cocktail of emotions she was experiencing – and continued with her first love – music.
Taken from her brand new EP, ‘Shell(e) Pt II’, out now on all various download/streaming platforms, ‘Shell’ is a message for anyone – especially women – to keep on shining, no matter how great the battle appears to be.

Artist of 2020’ – South African singer, songwriter and musician LANGA MAVUSO is back with a brand new single titled ‘Panther’ as he continues to tease his highly anticipated self-titled debut
album titled Langa’, which is scheduled for release on September 25 via Platoon.
Crafted with production duo Noble, who recently collaborated with Beyoncé on her seminal
Grammy Award-winning album ‘The Lion King: The Gift’, ‘Panther’ is a smooth and soulful offering with lush R&B sensibilities and expansive soundscapes that will transport listeners on a late summer evening ride. The infectious slow jam sees Langa pour his heart out about searching for healing in all the wrong places, while highlighting his glorious vocals and exquisite falsetto tones, as well as his penchant for captivating storytelling and vivid songwriting.
Speaking about the inspiration behind his new single ‘Panther’, Langa says, “The song was inspired by a tumultuous time in my life where I had surrounded myself with many distractions to try and get over the pain and heartbreak of a difficult breakup, it captures how exhausting it became to pretend that things were alright with me after this relationship ended. It talks about the many distractions we use to run away from our emotions, whether it’s flashy cars and bottles of champagne to heal the pain, or seeking light in dark places”.
A graduate of the National School of Arts, Rhodes University and the South African College of
Music, where he honed his singing skills, vocal abilities and performance prowess, among other
things, Johannesburg native Langa Mavuso burst onto the scene in South Africa with his critically acclaimed debut EP ‘Liminal Sketches’ with Black Coffee’s Soulistic record label, before breaking out to become a star in his own right, buoyed by such fan-favourite and cult classic singles as‘Home’, ‘Sunday Blues’, and last year’s ‘Mvula’.
With his new single ‘Panther’ and upcoming self-titled album, Langa is excited to share his coming of age story with the world…Check it out below…
Emerging Independent British Rapper J GRANGE drops his latest single with accompanying visuals for ‘Rocky Like A$AP’.
The new single produced with platinum selling producer DUKUS (Amy Winehouse Foundation, Stormzy, Charlie Sloth, Yxng Bane) is a celebration of personal ambition and having the strength to ‘keep pushing forward on your quest to the top’. The track showcases the young artists’ talents throughout, including his songwriting skills, charisma and slick, aspirational wordplay.
J’s future certainly looks bright despite his relatively short time dedicated to music, he’s already caught the eye of tastemakers having received feature articles on BBC, Music-News, Verge, Niji Magazine, Guap, Link Up and many more
Upping the ante for this release, J has solely self funded and directed the music video for ‘Rocky Like A$AP’. Ever keen to inspire others, the video opens with an industrial, eerily empty feel which ultimately ascends into the realization of J’s ultimate dream….music. The lyrics also continue J’s personal mantra of striving towards your goals and to stay persistent.
Despite being an exciting, conscious, new British talent on the come up, J has a greater purpose and an extremely powerful message which is to address the issues and negative stigmas around mental health. Ultimately inspired by his own experiences and overcoming early struggles and harsh battles with Mental Health himself, he found his therapy in music and wants to get this across to other creatives and beyond to urge and inspire them to follow suit.
J is currently in the process of looking to start up his own initiative and record label for people from disadvantaged backgrounds and also who suffer from mental health issues. Truly inspiring to see from such an talented young artist who is set for a very promising and prosperous career in the industry.
