Soulful Dutch duo FULL CRATE X MAR claims today’s hotspot with their latest single ‘Control’, taken from the highly anticipated collaborative EP ‘A Woman’, released earlier this month.
The mysteriously soulful single, featuring iLL BLU, offers a taster of the new FULL CRATE X MAR EP, also including previous effort, ‘Gorgeous’.
The EP follows previous collaborative releases of Full Crate and Mar, including ‘Nobody Else’, ‘Man x Woman’ and ‘Conversations with Her’.
The ‘A Woman’ EP is now available on Apple Music and Spotify.
London-based singer-songwriter & producer MARLON PERCY unveiled new single, ‘The Little Things’, the lead track from his debut EP of the same name.
Blending jazzy keys, soulful vocals and chilled house vibes, The Little Things EP is available to stream now. The EP also includes recent single Your Fool.
After periods of recording from the bedroom of his Louisville apartment , Andrew Shockley -aka DELAFAYE – presents his latest EP ‘Highlands, released last month.
The acoustic guitar and drums takes lead in ‘Part I’ and ‘She Shook Me,’ giving off a sultry soulful rock sensation, where the alternative rocker’s vocals lures between the arrangements. Further along the EP, a sweet harmonica makes a brief presence through third effort, ‘Tripping and Rolling’, adding a feather light folkore feel.
‘Highlands’ EP routes back and concludes with that real gritty soulful/rock combo along with the alluring vocals from the beginning.
There are some potential favorites in this mini package – it was VERY hard to choose – so it’s over to you; have a listen to the EP and pick your favorites and say in the comment box.

British Nigerian singer/songwriter LÁNRE is ready to start writing new music but before that, she has released an official music video for ‘Dreams’, taking from her ‘Human’ EP. The video directed by Alexandra MacEwan features contemporary artist Rebecca Sangster.
The visual centers around the constant push and pull, mostly internal that comes with living one’s dreams. LÁNRE hopes that this will encourage the dreamer in each and everyone to go for what’s theirs and to respond to the soul’s call to live one’s dreams.
In the last few months since the release of her ‘Human’ EP, this Yoruba songstress has been commissioned to write two songs for COAT, a sold out stage play at the Roundhouse by Yomi Sode and a song for the 80th Anniversary celebration of Cable Street. She was also one of the 14 artists selected by Brighter Sound for a 4-Day Residency Artist Director’s Series led by the Mercury Award Nominee Eska and Cardboard Citizens’ Artistic Director Adrian Jackson.
LÁNRE as well as touring Canada, France, NYC and Sweden, has taken her unique sound of Acoustic Soul, Folk and captivating storytelling influenced by her Yoruba heritage, to the Royal Albert Hall, Greenbelt Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, Bath Music Festival, Folkstock Festival, Musicport Festival and the Brighton Fringe among others.
She’s currently working on a new album that will be released in 2018. For now, what the video to latest single, ‘Dreams’.
British/Jamaican/Nigerian singer-songwriter BIANCA ROSE has been writing and composing for the best part of a decade. In 2007 she self released her debut EP ‘Truth and Tiny Tragedies’, and has continued to collaborate and write songs for other artists ever since. Accompanying herself on guitar and ukulele, Bianca’s live shows have included sets for Sofar Sounds, Tigmus, London Jazz and One Taste Festivals, City Showcase, The Vortex and the CrimeJazz Festival in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, along with additional performances for Playstation, OH TV, & radio play on Radio 1 and 1Xtra. As a lyricist in the Ready Riters song writing collective, Bianca recently co-wrote X-Factor contestant Annastasia Baker’s debut album, resulting in Annastasia’s 2014 MOBO nomination.
Bianca has decided that 2017 is the right time to focus on her own music again, and release some of the songs she’s written over the last few years. Her debut album ‘No Fear Here’ (released in January 2017) is an expansive interpretation of the singer songwriter genre, fusing Bianca’s folk/gospel sensibilities with both Bianca and Femi’s African diasporic perspectives. It was part-funded by the PRS for Music Foundation and produced by critically acclaimed jazz musician and producer Femi Temowo, (George Benson, Andrea Bocelli, Amy Winehouse, The Roots, ESKA & Soweto Kinch).
‘Hidden’ is the third single from Bianca’s debut album ‘No Fear Here’. Directed by Dominic Döring, the visuals are set around the issue of men and mental health and how difficult it is to share these particular struggles with those closest to us. Bianca adds: “Even as a woman, it is never easy to reveal you have battled with any kind of mental oppression. But sharing is often the first step to breaking its power.”
