New Track: Feels Good – Tiny Boost

TINY BOOST gives us the first taste of his forthcoming project, coming in the form the heavyweight track ‘Feels Good.’

Known for his hard bars, direct and straight up delivery and ability to narrate us through his real-life experience and situations, the SN1 rapper comes through with a dark, looming beat coupled with gritty lyrics.

Since marking his return with debut solo mixtape release last Summer ‘Strictly For The Streets’ with features Giggs, K-Trap and Suspect, TINY BOOST has prepared and arsenal of new music that is set to make waves in the streets, radios, and clubs with his uncompromising sound.

TINY BOOST started out in PYG before Giggs took him under his wing, seeing the talent that he had to offer, taking him to film with tastemaker Westwood whilst he was still at school before there was even such a thing as crib sessions. He featured on Giggs’ 07 mixtape ‘Welcome To Boomzville,’ the legendary ‘Walk In Da Park’ and later on the pairs collaborative mixtape ‘Who Said Datback’ in 2009.

New Music Video: The Thunder – Goldteeth

With debut self-titled EP out now in full, GOLDTEETH now unveils the official video for ‘The Thunder’

In the visual, directed and shot by Oliver Brian Productions, Nicholson portrays this metaphorically in the form of a car passenger, by being ‘always at your side, through any situation’, good or bad.

‘The Thunder’ is the second single from his self-produced, genre bending E.P. While the bass still remains his main weapon of choice, the last decade has seen Andy Nicholson appear in a vast array of forms. Whether it be as a founding member and bassist of the hip hop and indie-rock hybrid Mongrel, or as a studio producer working with the likes of Toddla T, Swindle, Tom Prior and Terri Walker – Nicholson has continued to stay active and contributing to Sheffield’s iconic music history.

Album Review: Grinder – Oloff

If you’re a regular visitor to the blog and have heard OLOFF‘s previous releases, then you’ll know that he’s not your average rapper. To take his music to another level, OLOFF has recently dropped his experimental hip-hop album, ‘Grinder’, the first release he produced single-handedly.

A jarringly racy bass is the main feature of the seven-track set, which rips through the equally racy soundscapes, predominantly made up of rampant urban/EDM tones. The Bristolian, who usually sports a laid back and wayward flow, brings on a freestyle that’s delightfully aggressive which adds more spice to each track in the collection.

After recently listening to his previous albums, personally I wouldn’t say that ‘Grinder’ was OLOFF‘s best work, but I do admire his interpretation of alt-hip-hop and appreciate the amount of work and effort he has put into this mini collection.
