OUT TODAY: Sheffield Artist J. Kas Unveils Captivating Single ‘Celebrate’ + Video.

Acclaimed Sheffield artist J. KAS is set to mesmerize music enthusiasts with the release of his latest single, ‘Celebrate,’ a dynamic composition that explores the rich tapestry of the African diaspora and its profound influence worldwide. This eagerly anticipated offering, taken from the ‘Celebrate Royalty’ project, promises to captivate listeners with its vibrant melodies and infectious rhythms.

Filmed against the backdrop of Liverpool’s Brazillica Festival and Leeds West Indian Carnival, the accompanying music video for ‘Celebrate’ is a visually stunning masterpiece. Directed by the visionary Pishdaad Modaressi Chahardehi, the video flawlessly captures the essence of the song, immersing viewers in a kaleidoscope of colours, captivating dance sequences, and jubilant festivities.

J. Kas, known for his ability to seamlessly blend various genres, has created a project that celebrates the vibrancy and cultural significance of the African diaspora. ‘Celebrate Royalty’ serves as a testament to the enduring legacy and immense contributions made by African community across the globe.

With the aid of fellow Sheffield alumni Franz-Von of afro-fusion band KOG & The Zongo Brigade and TC and the Family, who delivers an outstanding verse on ‘Royalty’ alongside strong vocals from Sheffield’s emerging talent Fatimah-X.

Already gaining significant recognition, J. Kas has been receiving widespread acclaim from influential radio stations including MOUVE Radio (France), BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, and BBC 1Xtra. The artist’s infectious energy and thought-provoking lyrics have resonated with audiences, propelling J. Kas into the spotlight as an emerging talent to watch.

Quad Zerimar comes through with brand new track, ‘Madeira’

‘Madeira’, describes a trip that UK rapper QUAD ZERIMAR took to Madeira. Introduced by angelic strings, the hip-hop/trap joint is based on the climate, culture, gastronomy and history of the Portuguese island. The cover art is created outside the museum of the island’s most iconic creation – Cristiano Ronaldo.

Quad Zerimar takes a big step in his musical development with many double entendres, clever lyrics, and a powerful, memorable vocal performance.

Quad Zerimar has gained over 10,000 streams in his debut year (2018). His music has been recognised by other upcoming and established artists, including Fetty Wap. His latest offering, ‘Madeira’ has been recognised by Madeira tourist websites and shared to accompany videos of the island.

Welsh alt-pop artist Mali Haf releases new single ‘Shwsh!’

MALI HAF takes a new direction with her brand of alternative pop through new single ‘SHWSH!’ which bursts of empowering pop that urges its listeners to be themselves in the worlds of Reality TV and social media. There is empathy for how we have to navigate the bombardment of media advice, designed to create dissatisfactions. The last verse wishes that we could be free to allow love into our lives.

The other clear message in the lyrics is that your gender identity is personal to you, no-one should dictate how you should express it. The single will be accompanied by a video which depicts Mali being auditioned for the part of playing a “woman”.

‘SHWSH!’ is the first single leading towards an EP in the Autumn. This new material is a collaboration with the South Wales based producer Minas. Have a listen below…
