Since British R&B singer KEMI SULOLA has made such an impression on you guys with her single titled ‘IF’ (featured on the blog back in October 2021), I thought I’d give you an update on the remixes of the smooth R&B number.
The IF More Night Remix gives the R&B version a UK Garage makeover which carries over Kemi Sulola’s infectious UK R&B and pop sensibilities from the original track. Producer MoreNight, whose previous credits include working with Manga Saint Hilare, Scrufizzer and Footsie, to mention a few, all but turns the original track on its head and transforms it into a sun-soaked dance floor filler. The captivating UK Garage remix adds another dimension to ‘IF’, with its glorious bass-line, infectious drum patterns and lush synths. The IF Andre Solid Remix– Kemi works with the Grammy nominated beat maker and producer Andre Solid, who has worked with the likes of Randy Valentine, Tippa Irie, Marla Brown and Gappy Ranks to name a few. This collaboration gives IF its new flare, but also introduces the world to Kemi’s first official reggae release. Opening with a warm stack of vocal harmonies and cymbal sounds gives this remix a grand introduction to the reggae beat and base that comes soon after, making us enjoy the calming sounds. Members Rokky, Maroc and Blaze – aka COUNTRY DONS – shows how life’s adversity created their strong brotherly bond in latest track, ‘Family’. Aiming to keep their identity under wraps, each driller take on their own hefty verse over the track’s aggressive instrumental.
The accompanied visuals for the slamming track was filmed in London, which sees the guys take a step out of their country ends in Farnborough. The blazing production was directed by visionary legend Pacman TV, who is an expert in the game for around 10 years. The crew keep their energy levels high throughout the whole video, reflecting the power from their heavy hitting bars.
The highly tipped trio have featured on tracks alongside the legend that is Charlie Sloth, who has cemented his identity within the global rap scene, as well as Suspect another highly respected UK rap figures. This exciting collaboration was released only last month (December) and has already hit over 1M streams on YouTube alone.
The crew made a big entrance to the UK Drill scene and are known for their unique sound. The group have collectively racked a crazy number of views on platforms like YouTube, accumulating over 15.5M views on their track ‘Sticky Situations’, as well as over 14M views on their track ‘Ramsay’. Back in October they released their single ‘Drippers’ which hit 2.5M views and their Daily Duppy released, earlier this month, has reached over 1M.
