Skeete Shares New EP, ‘Vibes Don’t Lie’

So, this project is directly for those same fans to enjoy some new summer music from me with a similar feel, but this time more with a variety on whether to pick an erotic vibe or a summery one.”

OUT TODAY: Benny Bizzie Drops 10th EP Chrysalis & Shares Single, ‘On The Double’

London-born singer, rapper and songwriter BENNY BIZZIE returns with a new EP titled ‘Chrysalis’, OUT TODAY!

Supported by Help Musicians/MOBO Awards, The seven-track mini album features producers Cee Figz (Wretch 32, Fredo, Popcaan), Simon Brown (Solar Unit), Benny Bizzie himself, along with Bass guitarist Darren Franklin (Lola Young), and heavy Metal guitarist Less than Hollow.

Alongside the release of the EP, Benny shares his single ‘On The Double’, which shows a different side to him… Benny showcases his signature soulful falsetto over a perfectly balanced fusion of Dancehall and R&B.

Chrysalis is the breaking free from the caterpillar stage to chrysalis to the adult Butterfly where we spread our wings and fly. The EP represents Benny’s growth over the years as a musician as well as a person. The subject matter and maturity of Benny Bizzie is evident and a sure sign of evolution. Chrysalis was created to let others see that they are not alone in the early stages of self discovery. We all have to start somewhere as it’s the nature of life.

He says about the creation of the EP: “I did not imagine any of this when I started making music back in Tottenham, writing bars in my Science and Maths exercise books. I had no clue what I was doing and where it would lead. All I knew was I had to keep moving forward, I had to do the one thing I knew how to do, which was to create music and help people where I could. Chrysalis is my 10th EP and saying that is mind-blowing. It literally has been a journey of self and artistic discovery and the best part about it all, is there is still more to discover and become.”

The EP also features singles, ‘Drunk N Naked’, ‘Forever’ and ‘Window Frame’ already released with over 500k TikTok views, support from CMU, FAC, Sentric, and Trickstar Radios DJ KXVU.

Sibling Duo Beatnik Share Their EP, ‘Vol.2’

After years of contributing to London’s rich club culture via their Beatnik-themed parties, beloved YouTube channel, and having spun across many eras — from the Y2K pirate radio movement down to world tour arenas — BEATNIK is back with their latest full-length tape ‘Vol. 2’, a collection of six tracks that wanders through the worlds of drum & bass, R&B, dancehall, rap and electropop.

‘Vol. 2’ isn’t a solo affair — there are plenty of noteworthy guest cameos. D&B belter ‘Never So Much’ features vocals from UK songwriting legend and performer Royston, who worked closely with Estelle on her debut LP ‘The 18th Day’.

Beatnik are also both prolific DJs having spun on six continents in more than 70 countries, for events such as The British Fashion Awards, Glastonbury, Isle of Wight Fest and parties for Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Giuseppe Zanotti, ASOS and the F1 races. Working together officially for well over a decade, Beatnik has landed spins on Radio 1Xtra, Rinse FM, Reprezent, Ibiza Radio and many more.

In the studio, the duo has worked with many artists including bass guitar polymath Thundercat, All Saints, LA dancehall artists Nik and Navi, rock band Will & The People, Tyson and UK R&B legend Terri Walker.

When she’s not busy with her Beatnik mantle, Nikki is the personal DJ for Kelis [Milkshake, Caught Out There, Bounce, Trick Me] when she tours the globe, with a partnership spanning over 15 years. Song of the Day: Stay Focused – BLKGLD

Hailing from Croydon and of Jamaican descent, identical twins Shereen and Sophia aka BLKGLD enchant us with their beautiful and buttery vocals through their debut single, ‘Stay Focused’ out now on all major download/streaming platforms.

The single innately evokes a nostalgic feeling that transports back to the 90s with their effortless fusion of R&B and Dancehall. This irresistible number has slow wine written all over it, and the meandering baseline is mixed in with a tropical xylophone vibe.

With a musical encyclopedia that is rich with the heart and soul of R&B, the girls site Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Destiny’s Child, TLC,  Boyz 2 Men and Usher  amongst some of their biggest inspirations and influences and their sound marries this together with a contemporary twist. Their soulful renditions of many classic and future hits have already gained some exciting traction, amassing millions of views across all social media platforms, leading to the duo performing alongside Migos and the late Juice Wrld last summer.
