Lexy Panterra Drops Empowered Female Joint, ‘Bad Bitch.’

Following the release of her pop single ‘Simple Life,’ first-generation Iranian-American artist LEXY PANTERRA has released her empowered female focused single, ‘Bad Bitch, This ‘woman’s- first’ anthem is a catchy rap/hip-hop track that promotes being your authentic self; equating it to being a bad bitch. On the revitalizing single, Panterra finds herself reminding the world that we all are confident and should be proud of ourselves.

The accompanying music video includes a diverse array of women celebrating what makes them confident and beautiful. The creative use of ethnic diversity is eye-catching as she highlights women of different races and ethnicities, including women in hijabs in various states of dress and undress, supporting her ongoing attention to amplifying her own background and cultural values. The repetitive lyrics “I’m a bad bitch” reinforce the mantra-like message that aims to inspire her fans to be their most confident version of themselves without needing anyone’s validation. The visual narrative gathers her friends to learn the steps she’s taken to become the “bad bitch” we know Lexy to be, and pushes them to take charge and be the freest, most independent versions of themselves.

“I’ve been experimenting with music for a long time and I love all kinds of genres. With the last single, “Simple Life”, I really wanted to touch on the simple things in life. With this new single, I really wanted to concentrate on women empowerment and what makes us strong and unique,” said Panterra.

In 2019, she spent nine weeks on the Billboard charts with HARBER for their ‘More Than You’ collaboration. Panterra released her EP ‘A Gemini Valentine’ in January 2020, which was followed by a West Coast tour with DaniLeigh. Lexy’s music shows her versatility as a true musician, including a mix of hits from ‘Virgin Lex,’ Lexy’s fun and care-free alter ego, who is responsible for the more upbeat, fun, hip-hop songs, as well as ballads from Panterra herself, displaying her chops as a singer in acoustic form, a side not enough people have seen or heard from her yet as an artist.

Most known as a bubbly entertainer with a loyal fan base of over 9 million followers, reaching an impressive 500 million views and one billion impressions across her platforms to prove it. As an international artist, Panterra has collaborated with powerhouses Marshmello, and Lil Yachty, to name a few. The artist’s debut EP, ‘A Gemini Valentine’ featured singles ‘Want Him Now’ and ‘Room’ as well as the Mozzy-assisted ‘My Love.’ She also collaborated with the likes of Too $hort (‘Pretty Young Savage’), Shaun Frank (“Where Do You Go”) and more.

Song of the Day: Hero – Klaudia Keziah

Upcoming songstress KLAUDIA KEZIAH confronts the difficulties of modern-day dating, in her latest unapologetic-yet-sultry single named, ‘Hero’.

With the aim to inspire and empower many women around the world, Klaudia Keziah has delivered a slice of sensual heaven that enables women to feel confident in themselves. Underpinned with a pop and R&B infused production courtesy of Jojo F (ArrDee, Deno, Tion Wayne, Sarkodie, Unknown T), the single is paired with a set of old-school visuals that contrast against the displeasures of modern-day dating; the black-and-white-washed shots don’t distract from the message laying beneath the upbeat production.

Speaking on the meaning behind the track Klaudia commented, “For me, ‘Hero’ was inspired by a conversation I had with my girlfriends about how some guys slide into the DM’s or even cat call us women in the street. They’re “flexy” approach from the jump about how much money they have or what car they drive is not impressive because I can get those things for myself. A lot of the lyrics are things men have said to me or my friends from experience and through the song I almost get to answer these situations from my point of view.”

Gaining previous support from Wonderland, Raydar Magazine, Industry Me, DJ Ace at BBC Radio 1Xtra, Radio 2’s ‘Funky Playlist’, Voice FM, Wordplay Magazine, We Are Beyond Noise, BBC Introducing, The Hype Magazine and more, ‘Hero’ follows up from the 2021 release ‘Dedicated’ that swiftly caught the attention of various tastemakers and publications. Growing up between England and Lithuania, Klaudia from a young age sprouted a love for music when picking up both the cello and piano. Now a self-taught producer, songwriter and singer, the budding talent has built a growing fan base that are eager for her next move. With more music on the way, Klaudia Keziah is ready to showcase the world her music!

Song of the Day: Animal Type – MISS LIA

With rich, velvety vox ablaze amidst a sense of passion and playfulness, Toronto singer/songwriter MISS LIA‘s single ‘Animal Type’ captures the carnal charge around setting sights on who you want.

Written in Miss Lia’s unique fashion — a confident, inspired, spontaneous type of lyricism — the song’s origins are rooted in the pop-R&B artist’s penchant for emotionally-driven songwriting that pulls on both past experiences and in-the-moment feelings.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the sultry single, Miss Lia says: “For ‘Animal Type,’ I was getting ready to go out, and started ‘feeling myself’ — confident and sexy — like an empowered woman . The vibe just came to me… I was watching myself in the mirror and started singing the melody of the intro. I came up with the first verse and chorus at that moment, and left them unchanged.”

Looking to capture the classic ‘I need you’ feeling, Miss Lia uses ‘Animal Type’ to relate with those who find themselves suddenly overtaken by lust’s ‘I’ve got to have you’ impulse. While the song feels sensuous and provocative upon first listen, it’s Lia’s confidence and empowered spirit intertwined with each line that seeks to seduce the listener further.

Following previously unveiled singles, ‘Dangerous,’ ‘Lonely,’ and ‘Summersault,’ ‘Animal Type’ is the latest to land from Miss Lia. The multi-talented artist recently immersed herself in music, having spent the duration of Covid-related restrictions contemplating a fork in the road; having initially pushed aside her ambitions to pursue music, focusing on academics and athletics instead, Lia spent the time revisiting and rediscovering her passions for poetry and music, and the deep emotional connection it creates.
