Song of the Day: Miles Away – Kasket Club x Soul Gem

After a four-year hiatus, Norwegian duo KASKET CLUB have teamed up with SOUL GEM to release their take on indie disco, ‘Miles via Uppwind Records.

Described as the spearheads of the Chillwave genre, Kasket Club have been featured by the likes of Majestic Casual, Aviencloud, FunkyPanda, alexrainbirdMusic, HillyDilly, FrenchShuffle, This Is My Jam and reached #1 on Hype Machine several times. As a result, they have amassed over 11 million plays across streaming platforms and airplay around the globe. New York-based Soul Gem has previously teamed up with Norwegian rapper and producer Pasha (compared to Pharrell Williams) touring the globe and culminating millions of plays across music platforms.

Song of the Day: YNMM – Rayne Storm (ft. Loudpack Dash)

Following his 2018 appearances on the blog with tracks, ‘ My Salvation’ and ‘Girl (Remix)’ – a collab effort with The Internet – RAYNE STORM bounces right back on today’s hop spot for the third time with catchy joint ‘YNMM’ (Young Niggas Making Money), enlisting fellow NYC rapper/producer Loudpack Dash to add extra grit to the four-minute production.

EP Review: Store Run 3 – A1

Two fries and a shake later, A1 bounces back with his third installment of his store run series – ‘Store Run 3′, released on New Year’s day.

Starting off with a sample from Alicia Keys’ hit ‘You Don’t Know My Name’ this mini set continues from the previous store run installments by encompassing a mixture of retro soul, 90s-inspired laid-back soulful R&B with a dash of slum village-esque boombap. The star of the show was the Brookyln’s native rapid-blazing flow ripping through the tranquil bars.
