SOTD: Gaming Star Kyra Jinx Records Debut Single ‘Side Ho’ In The Same Studio As Stormzy

Already a hit in the world of gaming, KYRA JINX exchanged the console with  the mic for her music debut with single ‘Side Ho’.

Delivering her own spin on rap across the melodic instrumental, the star from Spalding (Lincolnshire) weighs in on an equally impressive R&B hook too, striking a killer combination that is set to be the key to her future success.

Having recorded in the same studio as UK megastar Stormzy and the likes of X-Factor judge Tulisa and TOWIE’s Jessica Wright, the star magic has certainly found its way to Kyra Jinx. With just the right amount of straight-talking lyrics and sing-a-long bars mixed together, this joint nestles perfectly in to any current playlist from your UK faves and is a hit of empowerment for the ladies out there too.

Building an impressive and loyal following through gaming and love of live streaming on Twitch.com, Kyra Jinx made no secret of her desire to perform and quickly began to receive donations to help her book studio time and fund her music dreams. Ready to hit the booth, she then penned ‘Side Ho’ which is a feisty reminder for ladies not to forget their worth and calls out any guy that claims they’re serious about a girl when they’re not.

Teamed with a slick and colourful music video that is set in an arcade, packed with games (of course!), Kyra Jinx makes a no-BS track, which has the singer delivering an anthem for anyone who has ever been wronged.

Rée Celine Keeps It On The ‘Downlow’ With Brand New Single

Following the raving reviews and airplay of her debut single, ‘The Way You Love’, on BBC 1Xtra (Nadia Jae, DJ Ace), On Top Fm, Reprezent and Croydon FM, South London born singer/songwriter REÉ CELINE releases her follow up single ‘Down Low’ (#TWYL)

Ignoring the underlying issues of a broke up with a former partner, everyone has been in a situation where they still get down with their ex. The comfort of being intimate with someone who is familiar with you and your body coupled with the secrecy of messing around is exciting. Being on the ‘Down Low’ also prevents unwanted opinions.

Teaming up with Producer RonnyBeats and JAYKEBEATS, ‘Downlow’ possess a contemporary R&B vibe with a kick of 00’s old skool breakdown. Drawing inspiration from Brandy and Sevyn for this song both lyrically and vocally, it is playful, straight forward, demanding and raw – no filter. Co Written with Tendai ‘Down Low’ allows Celine to showcase her vocals and maturity even at the tender age of 19 years old.

Song of the Day: Toxicity – Teri Eloise

Singer, songwriter and record producer, TERI ELOISE  is calling out all the emotional vampires for her latest single ‘Toxicity’, a fierce and riveting trap infused pop song that showcases a never before seen or heard side of the 22 year old artist.

The track’s distinctive sound was produced, mixed and mastered by Richard Mcclashie –  aka M.R.I. –  a fellow Caribbean producer who has worked with the likes of Post Malone, Cardi B, French Montana and Caribbean heavyweights Sean Paul, Vybz Kartel and Shenseea.

In contrast to her sweet, bright and summery single, ‘Common Sense’ which laments the idea of being blinded by infatuation, ‘Toxicity’ delves into a darker aesthetic with fiercely direct and defiant lyrics over an infectious trap beat.

Lyrically, ‘Toxicity’ embodies impeccable word play that fires up a fierce and resilient attitude, juxtaposed perfectly with her airy-toned yet commanding vocals. “Your toxicity is too persistent, and I’m just tryna keep the peace consistent” Teri chants, followed by savagely written verses which directly point out negative unhealthy traits of a toxic relationship. Teri ends the song singing “I don’t want it, get out of my way” and there is no denying that this is an anthem for anyone who is over toxic relationships and ready to fight back. Once again, the British born, Trinidadian raised songwriter shows her ability to express loaded emotional experiences in a way that is very relatable.

Since its release late last month, ‘Toxicity’ received support from the likes of BBC Introducing  as well as Dan Blakes’ set on Pulse88 Radio.
