OUT TODAY: Nigel Hinds Unveils The Smooth & Sultry Single, ‘Ghostin”

Having already showcased himself as a rich and passionate artist on a flurry of glittering singles over the years, UK emerging singer NIGELS HINDS is back on the grind once again with his powerful new release ‘Ghostin’’, taken from his 12 track Mixtape titled ‘Damian’, out now.

Produced by the enigmatic Christof Jennings aka smokingsforcoolpeople, ‘Ghostin’’ continues that fresh and dynamic R&B appeal he has been pursuing since his earliest beginnings. With his rich and soaring voice layered amongst a bold and oscillating production from start to finish, this new one sees him return with a flurry of heartfelt textures throughout.

Speaking about the new track, Nigel said, “‘Ghostin’ was written based on a personal experience that i went through. I have been the one to ghost and I have also been ghosted. I thought this would be something a lot of listeners could relate to as we have all experienced this at some point in our lives”.

Since learning to sing from the age of five, Birmingham native Nigel Hinds has always been one to explore different styles within his music. Usually focusing between gospel, soul, and R&B, he began his journey in his local Seventh Day Adventist Church. Singing amongst numerous choirs throughout his childhood, he is still showcasing his vibrant voice as a member of vocal quartet Sing Baby Sing.

‘Ghostin’ was released today (14th June), alongside his 12 track Mixtape titled ‘Damian’. Check out ‘Ghostin” below…

Song of the Day: Breathing Underwater – Antoine Chambe (ft. Jimmy Burney)

A dark rolling beat which takes us on a nocturnal stroll in Santa Monica, on Diamond-certified producer ANTOINE CHAMBE‘s single ‘Breathing Underwater’, featuring multi-Grammy-nominated singer Jimmy Burney, who spins the tale of passionate yet transient love on the piece.

‘Breathing Underwater’ sees Antoine take a step away from home of his lighter works, instead confronting a more sombre topic, which calls to mind the magnetic works of The Weeknd, Busy P, Kavinsky and Duke Dumont.

Born and based in Lyon, France, Antoine Chambe has performed around the world, including The Vibe Guide Festival 2017 (with Sam Feldt, Felix Jaehn and Klangkarussell), MyDeezer Festival 2018 (Joris Delacroix, Yuksek, Broken Back) as well as appearing as a supporting act for Kavinsky and live shows with Polo & Pan, C2C, Uppermost, Breakbot and Thylacine to name a few. The producer is also known for founding the well-known publishing house, label and music blog, Riptide Music. While creating his unique sound, the producer turns to the likes of Duke Dumont, Daft Punk, Kavinsky, Kygo and Purple Disco Machine for inspiration.

Los Angeles-born and based Jimmy Burney has worked with a wealth of well-known names including Demi Lovato, Charlie Wilson, Big Time Rush, David Foster and Babyface amongst others.

Oloye Coldman Comes Through With Blissful Track, ‘Sókè’, Offering Words Of Encouragement

Just as I was getting use to him spinning out some slamming clubfillers as heard in previous tracks, ‘oMoo’ and ‘Oya Naw’, multi award winning music artist, songwriter and record producer Oloye Peter Oluwamayowa – aka OLOYE COLDMAN – changes up the game completely and presents a blissfully smooth soulful R&B effort titled ‘Sókè’.

Coming from a phase where everything looked very unrealistic, through pain, struggle, setbacks and torment, ‘Sókè’ is an inspirational song that gives a positive vibe about not relenting and accepting the fact that God’s elevation cannot be touched.

Personally, I think this is one of his best work to date. Have a listen to this beauty below…

Song of the Day: Back Around – Ellie Byers

ELLIE BYERS returns with second single, ‘Back Again’, which gives a candid insight about a couple struggling to make it work. Ultimately they know what they have is special, so no matter how many times they call it quits, they always end up back together. ‘Back Again’ was written by Ellie with singer-songwriter Syon, who is also featured on the single.

Oozing soothing, melodic R&B undertones, ‘Back Again’ follows her BBC Introducing-approved debut, ‘Role Play’. Both singles forms part of her debut EP, ‘Gone Too Far’ expected for release later this year.
