EP Review: Insomnia – Be Kreative

NEW LEASE MUSIC regular BE KREATIVE‘s latest EP ‘Insomnia’ predominantly delivers piano-led overtones which works heavenly against the contrasting dense-heavy drive.

Although the above combo provides an instantly likable mainstream vibe, the collection also brings on a flicker of that similar sound of R&B, dreamy boombap and that real gritty lick of urbanised hip-hop, where BE KREATIVE‘s and guest vocalists were consistently confident in delivering a crisp and lucid flow.

‘Insomnia’ makes pleasant listening and is an adequate introduction to Houston rapper. However it would be great for him to really experiment with various genres in order to get ahead of the game. I say this because I KNOW he can do it with ease – and who knows, maybe he has those plans in the pipeline…check him out below…

New Track: Throw It Back – Manu Crooks

Fresh off its premiere via DJ Target on 1Xtra, Australian rapper MANU CROOK$ reveals huge new single ‘Throw It Back’.

The blistering  record  is produced by  MANU CROOK$ and co-produced by DOPAM!NE, featuring fellow African-Australian  artist B Wise after the pair previously collaborated on Manu’s single ‘Best Years’. ’Throw It Back’ serves as a follow-up single after the success of “Fuego” (feat. Album Review: P.E.A.C.E – Dizzy Rambunctious

Angelic overtones which chant over a boisterous drive, introduces DIZZY RAMBUNCTIOUS‘ latest (almost instrumental) album, ‘P.E.A.C.E.’

The project continues on the hypnotic tip, before venturing into the realms of hip-hop/boom bap in tracks ‘Change’ and ‘Boomerang’; the New Jersey producer enlisted some guest vocalists to add extra spice to the mentioned records. Further along the line, eleventh joint ‘Evolucionar’ breaks the hypnotic trance thanks to its playful and uplifting Latin flair.

If you’re looking for that great escapism from the daily hustle and bustle, well this 13-track collection is definitely an option. Check it out below:

New Track: Body – Fintan

When inspiration struck FINTAN in the middle of the night, he grabbed his keyboard and head straight to the bathroom – well he didn’t want to wake up his girlfriend (ah, that’s sweet!)

That bout of inspiration turned out to be his first ever single entitled ‘Body’. Showcasing a spine-tingling overtones which glitters alongside atmospheric soundscapes, the young singer/songwriter’s marshmallow vocals float over the arrangements, captivating all those spine-tingling moments of being in love.

Speaking of his latest release, FINTAN says: “It’s easy to love somebody when everything is going well, but the true test of any relationship is how you love someone when things are tough. I wanted “Body” to be a promise to that person that no matter what, it was always gonna be love.”  (ah, that’s REALLY sweet!)

‘Body’ is the first release from his upcoming EP, ‘When We Fall’ – look out for that – but for now, check out the official music video for the pop ballad:
