New Music Video: Green Porcelain – Rebecca Phillips

Having recently unveiled the Addison Groove Remix of her latest single, REBECCA PHILLIPS  now revealed the official video for ‘Green Porcelain’.

Filmed on a Google Pixel camera, Phillips explains that “the song and the video both centre around fragility and the feeling of violence that occurs when what is familiar, valued or even treasured becomes unfamiliar and begins to alienate us. The subversion of the ‘domestic space’ was important to realising my vision for the film because what should be ‘homely’ becomes dysfunctional. The film was shot on a Google Pixel camera to give the footage an invasive, voyeuristic and home-made sensibility”.

‘Green Porcelain’ follows the success of Rebecca’s debut single ‘Burnt Peach’ (i-D, CLASH, Resident Advisor).

New Music Video: Rapid Fire – Santi (ft. Shane Eagle & Amaarae)

Following the success of his last single ‘Freaky’, which was championed by Complex, The FADER, i-D Magazine, BBC 1Xtra, Hunger Magazine, Spotify, Apple Music, Soulection and Hype Machine, among others, exciting genre-bending rapper and vocalist SANTI returns with an exuberant music video for his brand new single titled ‘Rapid Fire’ featuring award-winning South African emcee Shane Eagle and Ghanaian alté newcomer AMAARAE.

Produced by longtime collaborator and one-quarter of Santi’s tight-knit Monster Boys crew, Genio, ‘Rapid Fire’ sees Santi, Shane Eagle and Amaarae delivering on an exciting fusion of dancehall grooves, captivating brag-raps and nostalgic R&B licks, and the accompanying music video, which was shot in South Africa and Nigeria, brings the record further to life. Directed by Santi himself, the visuals explore themes of freedom and rage, and make for gripping viewing from start to finish.

Shane Eagle sets the track off, with his absurdist charm, delicately delivered bars, and a swift rap flow, over a canoodling loop and delayed snares that expand into something beyond magical once the drums kick in. The chief conductor Santi then takes the lead, serving top shotta lyrics and toasting up the mic in a fashion that salutes the old skool era that birthed his style, and Amaarae elevates the vibe even further, as her voice purrs, while she narrates youthful takes with an old soul’s flair.
