Dublin-based producer and musician, SAL DULU‘s single, ‘Zumo’ features guest vocals from the in-demand US artist, Fly Anakin who adds his off-kilter verses to Sal Dulu’s crystalline electronic layers.
Coming off the back of recent singles ‘Girl’, ‘B’ and ‘Alien Boy 96’ which have found tips from Complex, NTS Radio, The Line of Best Fit, DJ Booth and Earmilk, ‘Zumo’ is lifted from Dulu’s debut album, ‘Xompulse’ which is out now via his own Duluoz Records.

South West UK hip hop crew THE SCRIBES have teamed up with Finland’s boom bap beatsmith J-Boom for the quirky video for their latest offering, “Haunted House Party”, released today.
Filmed and edited entirely during lockdown by RaSh Media, the haunting visual features The Scribes and alter ego Mr Teatime throwing a house party for a selection of stuffed toys that quickly descends into chaos and debauchery. The imagery and theming perfectly encapsulates the feelings of loneliness and isolation brought on by the continuing lockdowns of the last year.
The single is available now exclusively through Bristol based international hip hop label The Get Down Records’ bandcamp store as a digital download and a limited edition double A-Side transparent 7” vinyl with second collaboration track ‘Stir Crazy’.

Setting the standard at stellar levels, TRUEMENDOUS continues to reach new heights and her single, ‘Worst Child’. With each release TrueMendous displays a new depth to her artistry and ‘Worst Child’ entails influences within the hip-hop hemisphere.
The conscious hip-hop number, produced by Illinformed, demonstrates more of an introspective side to TrueMendous. Teaming up with eccentric vocalist Rozzz the dimensions of the track alter as it fuses soulful elements with the enthralling hip-hop sound.
‘Worst Child’ TrueMendous forms part of her debut album, ‘Misdiagnosis of Chyvonne Johnson’, slated for release 1st of April 2021. Paying homage to Lauryn Hills ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’, TrueMendous is set to showcase a heavyweight 17-track project featuring productions from Dirty Dike, Illinformed, Chemo, Wundrop, Mark Fear as well as guest vocals from the legendary Masta Ace, Kofi Stone and Rozzz to name a few.
The visuals capture the heart of London Town as TrueMendous leads us through some of the finest gems in the city. From the iconic venue Chip Shop in Brixton, to outside shots filmed in Camden, North West London TrueMendous showcases the spirit of the city through the transcending backdrops of her enthralling music video.
‘Worst Child’ is her sophomore release of 2021 and follows on from her high-energy single ‘Cause A Scene’, released in January. The track pinpoints the beginning of an exciting year for the Birmingham native. Her single quite literally caused a scene and she was included on the Ministry of Sound ‘Made In The UK’ playlist, alongside some of the UK’s top artists – Ghetts, Stormzy, Fredo and Slow Thai.
Hailed as ‘one to watch out for’ by Akil The MC, from the legendary Hip Hop crew Jurassic 5, TrueMendous already has numerous accolades to her name. She made her TV debut last year and landed the lead roles in the 2020 Christmas Pepsi Max and McVities adverts. 2020 also marked the release of her debut project ‘HUH?’, which was released via High Focus Records and is sitting on over 221,000 streams. Gaining an impressive buzz surrounding the EP, two of the singles were included in the Adidas ‘COLD.RDY’, as well as the FIFA 21 Soundtrack.

After kicking off 2021 with a SoundCloud loosie ‘Strictly For My B’ and the hard hitting rap track ‘The 5 Year Plan’ featuring fellow 1000 Degreez member Wordz, both of which have quickly combined for nearly a million plays in two weeks, award-winning South African rap artist and producer A-REECE is going three-for-three with his infectious new hip-hop single titled ‘Morning Peace’. Along with dropping off his new soulful sing-along bop, the Mzansi rap star is also dropping his upcoming release of his long-awaited mixtape, ‘Today’s Tragedy, Tomorrow’s Memory,’ slated for release on March 26 in partnership with Platoon.
The latest track sees A-Reece taking off that braggadocios exterior that most rap music hide behind, as he offers listeners a refreshingly honest and open perspective on how he approaches conflict in relationships.
Speaking about the inspiration for ‘Morning Peace’, A-Reece says, “‘Morning Peace’ is about how you have your ups and downs in a relationship, and how you can get into a heated argument with your partner at any random time of the day, and it could be in the morning, when you both just woke up, so I speak on how I would rather wake up to making love to my partner, than arguing about something irrelevant. I would rather wake up feeling blessed than depressed – that was basically the whole concept behind ‘Morning Peace’, and as soon as I conceptualised that, I knew that Jay Jody was the perfect person to put on this, because him and I always have conversations about this type of stuff”.
