Jessica Wilde Opens Up On Her Recent Toxic Relationship With New Single, ‘Body.’

Jessica Wilde is proving to be a songwriter of true grit. Able to chart the state of her own self-worth, experience, and growth through her inimitable UK R’n’B style, on new single ‘Body’, Jessica is done with hiding, playing nice and getting suckered in time after time by – excuse my French ‘F*ckboys’ – and ‘Wastemen’, having to conform to peer pressure and the role a dominant masculine society expects of her.

As Jessica bares testimony on her new single, she sweetly tells how a recent partner. Her soulful refrain, “If all you want is my body, then imma find somebody, who wants no body but me” will resonate for many women.

Wilde further explains, ‘I had this relationship that was a real wake up call. It hit me… why did I keep attracting these guys who only seemed to care how my body could please them? Why don’t I celebrate my body instead of looking to them to validate me? So, I made a vow to myself that I would love ME first, this song is that vow!’.

Out now on download and streaming sites, ‘Body’ will form part of the South Londoner’s yet untitled album/mixtape due later this year.

Song of the Day: Together Forever – Von Marlon

After a separate personal and musical split in quick succession, VON MARLON‘s alias was formed as a solo project after living abroad. The name derives from a Mike Skinner lyric, whose music along with other underground
alternative pioneers of the UK scene greatly inspired Von Marlon’s sound, which offers a mix of
Hip-Hop, Ambient, & Dance inspired alternative pop songs.

His single ‘Together Forever’, is about the dreams and hopes one can have for a relationship, not only when dating someone but also with a greater sense of connection in general. It was created during the past year and evolved from the current global situation; the longing for when everyone can come back together again and the feeling of excitement that that moment will bring.

Garnering attention with the two singles ‘Searching’ and ‘Tripping’ on independent radio stations such as Absolute Radio and Amazing radio, Von Marlon was then featured in The Unsigned Guide’s June ’19 Spotlight, before signing a sync deal to Max Music Publishing.

From this, ‘Closer’ was synced on an episode of Queen Sugar, the US TV show broadcasted on Oprah Winfrey’s network OWN, whilst also being listed in Ditto’s ‘Chartbreaker’ Spotify playlist.
