Premiere: I’m Good For You (Workelius Remix) – Zangba

ZANGBA‘s hip-hop and R&B gem, ‘I’m  Good For You’ – which features the mesmerising vocals of California’s R&B/soul singer Maskerade – received a refreshing makeover from Swedish producer Workelius. With its ultra-pounding baseline, flirtatious raps and soulful vocals, this dance-friendly banger is ripe for radio airplay and is guaranteed to get heads bopping and feet tapping.

‘I’m Good For You’ documents that  flirtatious relationship between a man and a woman. Speaking of the single, ZANGBA says: ” Once the carefree and flirtatious period is over, the guy quickly realises that his love interest is a much better fit than his past girlfriends, making her the perfect wife material. The kale greens, which is pictured on the cover art, symbolises they’re a great fit.”

The original version of ‘I’m Good For You’ is featured on ZANGBA’s debut mixtape, entitled, ‘Hip-Hop, Soul, and R&B’. The ten-track project is smothered with a nostalgic flair and layered with classic raps and a delicious dose of soul music.

Song of the Day: W&B – Nebr, The Tiger

Upcoming Detroit hip hop artist NEBR, THE TIGER rocks up into the limelight with latest track ‘w&b’. The left-field hip-hop banger that preaches an anthem to his lifestyle over a sub bass heavy beat with textured soundscapes produced by Newsensei. With the hype building around his upcoming album ‘Insight’ coming out in the late summer, there’s no telling on what he has in store for this year.

NEBR, THE TIGER’s music has been featured on Arson Capital Magazine, Daily Hip Hop Jamz and of course New Lease Music with previous upbeat number, ‘Bootleg’ – check it out sometime

Song of the Day: Go Away Just To Stay- Delafaye

Following a whirlwind of success last year, DELAFAYE is back with two brand new singles, ‘These Days’ and ‘Go Away Just To Stay’.

Although ‘These Days’ sees the Kentucky singer/songwriter coming out of his shell with a refreshing/slight uptempo affair (LISTEN HERE), ‘Go Away Just To Stay’ steals the blog’s heart for its authentic and stripped back singer/songwriter approach that’s typically DELAFAYE. His undeniable ability to draw in the listener to hear and FEEL every word is simply magical. So it comes to no surprise that his three EPs, released in 2017, gained over two million streams and led him to perform in just about every venue in his native Louisville, KY and beyond.

Both singles are taken from the self-titled debut album, ‘Delafaye’, set for release at the end of this year, December 2018. For now, it’s time to enter into the compelling world of DELAFAYE – listen to ‘Go Away Just To Stay’

EP Review: There’s Beauty In The Black – Dewey Quinton

While most artists shoot out uptempo summer releases that compel most of us to work every muscle in the body, DEWEY QUINTON took a different direction with his latest EP ‘There’s Beauty In The Black’, dropped last month.

Airy tones accompanied with a downtempo bass dominates the five-track set, where Quinton sheds some light on the melancholic fusion, through to his relaxant flow, which is masked with an electronic effect.

This mini package may not provide those hell-raising moments in the clubs, but it is perfect for those chilled out days. With darkened soundscapes that blissfully reverberate throughout the production, the EP definitely displays that there’s beauty in the black. Check it out below:
