Marbl Is Feeling Very ‘Lucky’ In Brand New Single

When House/R&B singer-songwriter MARBL met the love of her life, she wanted to shout it from the rooftops. Her gratitude for finding the one comes in the shape of her brand-new single appropriately titled ‘Lucky’, out now on all good music platforms.

Marbl says of the release: “It finally feels like the right time to release Lucky”! I wrote this song back in 2016 when I met my partner. There was no other word to describe what I felt but ‘lucky’”

Infectiously rhythmic, ‘Lucky’ possesses a hefty electronic bass that makes you want to get up and dance in an instant, bringing pure joyous vibes and hope after the unthinkable year we all experienced from the pandemic.

However Marbl confesses that finding a beat to match the uplifting lyrics with producer Fis -T, was a lengthy process. She explains: “After a few attempts at the production, myself and the producer Fis-T, just couldn’t get the sound we imagined. Some years later we have finally found that sound we were looking for.”

Marbl was signed to label BOOM Entertainment! with producer and good friend Fis – T and has written/performed track for American artist, Bad Tuner (Back To Me) as well as penning tracks for Canadian group Keys N Krates.

Formerly known as M Black, The London artist has changed her name to Marbl earlier this year to coincide with her shift in musical style of fluid blends of electronic, R&B and a dash of Afrobeats, which provides a distinct vibrant uplift.

‘Lucky’ is available across various music platforms from yesterday (3rd August). Have a listen below…

Malachiii Shares Reflective New Single ‘Love Me’ + Video

Rising singer, rapper, songwriter and producer MALACHIII opens his heart with the release of ‘Love Me’,” his debut single with Motown Records. On the track, the 25-year-old Southern California artist asks the burning questions that arise when you’re coming of age and falling in love. The first verse subtly draws listeners inward with lo-fi trap vibes and Malachiii’s softly delivered bars, building momentum before his voice starts to soar. The chorus gets vulnerable as he declares that he doesn’t want a partner’s adoration just to feed his ego—he needs love and support to ease his mind.

“Everything about this song feels so timely and full-circle. In a literal sense, it represents need to have someone that will take me as I am and love me unconditionally through this rollercoaster that is my life,” says Malachiii, “Symbolically, it represents the new journey ahead and all of the unknowns that come with “launching” my career as an artist and sharing my art with the world in the ways that I’ve always dreamed of.”

This new song marks a transitional moment in Malachiii’s life and career. Although ‘Love Me’ isn’t his first solo single—he dropped the brash rap cut ‘WYM?!’ last September—it’s a bold step forward in terms of both artistic maturity and scale. It’s his first release on Motown, hallowed ground for truly emotional songwriters. This follows him signing a publishing deal with Electric Feel. But now, with the release of ‘Love Me,’ Malachiii is demonstrating what’s truly special about his own music, showing the world his truest self, and preparing for his songs to start resonating around the world.

Producer JEZTLS Shares A Powerful Message With Track ‘Affair’

Taken from his self-produced EP, ‘El Paradiso’ JEZTLS‘ latest single , ‘Affair’ sees the producer take the spotlight, providing his own vocals for the first time in his career. The lyrics tackle his experience of sexual assault whilst studying abroad in France.

In just over two minutes, the track deals with the trauma head-on, he glides through vocal styles of singing and rapping, taking influence from the alternative R&B world of James Blake and the grime music he encountered growing up in England.

Speaking on the track he says: “Affair to me is such a representative song. I dealt with so much hurt after being assaulted, I spent two weeks stuck in a tiny room in student accommodation in a foreign country. I was so stunned after it happened, it felt like it took a lifetime to fully process – so when I finally got out of bed and pulled up this beat I’d made for another artist’s session, the truth all fell out.

I’d previously planned to release a collaboration album, it was all set for the end of April, but after the assault it just fell apart and I realised I was the only person that could speak my own truth. It’s funny producing and writing for other people all your life, then one day something clicked and I realised as much as I hate my own voice – singing these songs myself is the most courageous and honest thing I can do as an artist. The structure of Affair fully allowed me to channel the different notions I went through: Denial, Pain and Anger. I’m not a rapper but I knew that I had so much to address in the final verse – it just came out like that.
