Neak And Since9ine6ix Link Up For Brand New Joint, ‘Abstract’

Following his debut appearance on NEW LEASE MUSIC late last month, Illinois’ very own spitter SINCE9INE6IX circles back, this time teaming up with artist/producer NEAK for brand new track, ‘AbstracT’ released yesterday (26th February).

Possessing strong influences from hip-hop heavyweights, such as Nas and Mos Def, Since9ineSix drops one heavy-slick flow, focusing on the perspective of today’s past and present culture and how it effects everyday life.

The latest offering adds to the pair’s burgeoning working relationship. Since9ineSix’s latest album, ‘BLESSED’ was produced by Neak. 2019 was a great year for Neak: his soulful jazz album, ‘KWESBAAR’ was named one of the Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2019 by HHGA and GBC.

Song of the Day: Yuri – Esofact

Urple Eeple (Peter Farr) and Isturite’s (Kevin Welch) aka ESOFACT’s  latest track ‘Yuri’, leads the way for their self-titled debut EP, out via Chillage Records.

Their EP possess a conducive yet groovy production, coming together with small interesting echoing elements throughout the four tracks. ‘Yuri’ shines out amongst the tracks, with an  frantic pace set to a waterfall of electronic sounds, without it becoming too overwhelming or messy to the prospective listener.

Based in California and Los Angeles respectively, Farr and Welch met in their teens and would go to endless festivals together, teaching each other about music production throughout the years. They both played the guitar as youngsters and later fell in love with electronic music through early rave culture. They eventually decided to collaborate and released their first single as Esofact in 2014. ‘I’ve Got That’ was groundbreaking and began to define ‘future’ as a new way of approaching musical compositions….
