Straight from the booth, BBC 1Xtra/BBC Radio 1/Capital Xtra-approved singer/songwriter, ALEISHA LEE slams down a gutsy dance/Latin-esque number titled ‘Dámelo’, released today on her label IDWIW Records.
‘Dámelo’ follows the East Londoner’s firey UKG joint, ‘Pick Up Your Foot And Pop That Smoke’ – a mashup of Aleisha’s collab single with Footsteps, ‘Pick Up Your Foot’ and Pop Smoke’s ‘Welcome To The Party’.
Tipped by tastemakers including Jamz Supernova, BBC Introducing Manchester, Huw Stephens & NTS – NINA COBHAM has been on an upward trajectory since releasing ‘Sola’ at the beginning of the year. The original release has since surpassed over 3,000,000 streams on Spotify alone – defying the odds as an independent artist and proving that anything is possible, even during a pandemic.
Now Nina unveiled the remix of the well-received single, featuring Bipolar Sunshine. Check it out below…
South-East Londoner, BENNY BIZZIE shares some dope visuals for his hazy-chilled number, ‘Navigate’. The track is the last push of his well-received EP, ‘Emotions’.
The title track of her latest album, released earlier this month, UK singer-songwriter BECKY BOWE‘s ethereal love song, ‘Cosmic Heart’, radiates pure emotion. The single carries light tinges of jazz as smooth trumpet is brought in to resonate with the songstresses’ voice.
Based on the man who would eventually become her fiance, the single showcases a young woman’s tenacity in the knowledge that she had found her soulmate. Ending on a strong note with a choir entering at full strength, a choral element is brought forward, reinforcing the celestial soundscapes.
Speaking of the single, Becky Bowe shares further insight: “This song is really personal to me. I wrote it when I was 18 years old when I first started going out with my now fiancé. I was so used to writing the stereotypical break up song which always worked a treat however this time round I was feeling feelings that I didn’t know how to put on paper. I then started writing a song about him and about how amazing he is as a person and that’s where the song came to life. This song is just about an out of this world love that you find or have with someone.”
Produced and engineered by Aidan Thompson who, as part of Max Restaino’s band, played as the supporting act for Rebecca Ferguson, UB40 and Tears for Fears, ‘Cosmic Heart’ follows Becky’s previous single, ’That’s How Love Works’, which reached Number 9 in the UK iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts.

Championed by the likes of BBC 1 Xtra’s Jamz Supernova, North West Londoner, TREASURE‘s single, ‘Isolation’ ushers in a new era of his singing and songwriting. Produced and engineered entirely by Treasure in his London bedroom during lockdown, ‘Isolation’ portrays the uneasiness felt by most during self-isolation, touching on the sense of duty felt by the world in giving up freedom for a just cause.
‘Isolation’ follows the release of his nine-track EP, ‘Suffocation & Air’, which saw Treasure delving into a hypnagogic pop realm, delivering lethargic yet funky synthscapes with 80’s tinged falsetto vocal arrangements.
Now, he returns with yet another unique track, showcasing his love for exploring new genres and crossing sonic boundaries. Have a listen to ‘Isolation’ below…
