Song of the Day: Big Rich – C Montana (ft. S Loud)

If your ear has been anywhere near the UK rap scene over the last two years, it would’ve been pretty tough to miss the rise and rise of C MONTANA. Cut from the same cloth of all the rap greats, the Londoner has built a profile based on his rags to riches tales and their visual accompaniments documenting his luxurious lifestyle, love of cars, women and jewellery. Now set to take his career to a new level, C Montana teams up with S Loud for the release of his single ‘Big Rich’.

Premiering with the ‘Voice of the Streets’, DJ Kenny Allstar on BBC Radio 1Xtra, the record is his final drop of the year and a big statement to let the world know that 2020 is his. Hitting out punchy verses on the laid-back reminiscent beat, C Montana shows exactly why he’s become one of today’s most certified and engaging rappers in the world of street tales.

Clearly a product of the early 00’s rap generation which was home to the likes of 50 Cent and Rick Ross, there’s something old skool hip-hop to his new skool output. Speaking of inspiring his youngers through both visuals and lyrics, C Montana embodies every inch of what it is to be a superstar rapper and an ever progressive businessman. Every visual and image is doused in the finest drip, the jet-set lifestyle and the racks of money, laid out bare next to the undercurrent of business, hard work, street life and trap houses.

Taking up music as a hobby to document his life, C Montana made his first major entry to the music game just two years ago with his debut studio recorded single ‘Drug Dealer’ featuring AyEm. The record gained 1.5 million YouTube views and subsequently the rapper has released numerous videos seeing his profile and fanbase soar. After a short hiatus and the demand from fans to hear more, C Montana has been unable to ignore the call any longer and jumped back into the booth to release the weighty ‘Big Rich’….check out the video below…
