Song of the Day: ETA – Madison Paris

A captivating discovery, MADISON PARIS has a fluidity to her sound that drifts wide into the soundsphere. Empowering as it is enchanting, her latest single E.T.A premiered via DJ Target on BBC 1Xtra is sexy, classy, smooth and a beautiful moment for UK R&B.

Making her debut just under two years ago, the British star has worked solidly defining her sound, style and striking look with audio and visual releases including ‘Skin Good’ and ‘Triple’, leading to rapturous applause from her peers and a constant stream of new fans and supporters. Her sound is defined by her ability to write and deliver seductive moments scattered with genuine London sass, alongside shimmering vocals and stylistic flourishes that make her truly unique.

It’s undoubtedly her dazzling talent and her perfect combination of femininity with genuine homegrown, British swagger that led to FootAsylum snapping her up to be the face of their collaboration with Nike for their Utility Boot campaign, featuring her single ‘Rum & Wine’. Further exclusive appearances and support are dotted in the archives across BBC Radio 1Xtra, Rinse FM and US support from Dash Radio, as well as highlights of Madison’s performances at BBC Music Fringe Festival, El Dorado Festival and opening the main stage at The Ends Festival. Meanwhile the upwards spiral of views and streams across her growing repertoire point to a promise of longevity.

‘ETA’ delivers what Madison Paris refers to as ‘Me’. Featuring hypnotic vocals complimented by Sokari’s (Kojey Radical, Stefflon Don), slick production, she is the master of commanding atmospheric, instrumental beats, taking you on a journey that’s almost tangible.

Breana Raquel has questions in her new sizzling R&B single, ‘Q&A’

19-year-old songstress BREANA RAQUEL returns with the release of ‘Q&A’, a catchy slice of sizzling R&B, setting the young songwriter in a league of her own. Having built a loyal online following over the last year, which currently stands at over 30,000 followers on Instagram and over 10,000 on TikTok, Breanna is making huge waves right now, making ‘Q&A’ her biggest release to date.

Best known for her guest-star role on Criminal Minds, as well as her recurring role on CBS’ Seal Team, Breana is also an actress that is taking over televisions around the US. The multi-talented star is taking advantage of every opportunity that comes her way and her success has not gone unnoticed.

The Maryland native has been quietly building an organic buzz with golden R&B sensibilities over the last year, with the release of her debut EP ‘Beginners Love’ back in February.

When asked about the new single, Breana stated: “I wanted to release a song that was closer to the style of music I listen to now. I wrote a lot of the tracks on my EP when I was 16/17, and I wanted to introduce everyone to the 19-year-old Breana Raquel.”

Jessica Wilde blends old soul with savvy street defiance on new single ‘Out Of My ooo’

Following her debut ‘Cry For Me’, which was premiered as BBC Radio 1xtra’s ‘Record Of The Week’, Brixton raised singer JESSICA WILDE is ready to sweep you off your feet with a sassy new single ‘Out Of My ooo’.

The single bursts with classic soul style blended with street savvy defiance. This creative fusion reflects her multicultural upbringing; brought up on her St Helenian mother’s obsession with jazz and soul, Jessica doused it with hip hop leanings and set it a light.

With its brass, bouncy bass and finger-clicking strut tempo it’s impossible not to get hooked on ‘Out Of My ooo’ and its attitude infused swing. It’s the type of top songwriting that has seen Jessica sign a publishing deal with Sony ATV and work with luminaries such as Ghetts and Tough Love. Another of her self-penned tracks ‘Strangers Love’ was recently released by renowned Korean K-pop label SM Entertainment and her recent co-write with Rudimental, ‘More Than Anything’ featured vocals from Emile Sande and made their album.

The session at Ne-Yo’s Hollywood studio, with producer Kizzo (Ne-Yo, Afrojack) was a defining moment for Jessica – not only because she survived a bizarre, high speed LA crash moments before the recording began, but because her own project was borne and the basis of her upcoming singles took form. Three months in LA, and several purposefully missed flights later, Jessica returned to London, ready to showcase herself and her music to the world…

With its festive glow and stylish addictive refrain ‘Out Of My ooo’ is set to put Jessica Wilde firmly on the map this winter as an unmissable diverse artist who embraces the best of classic songwriting and instills it with bite.
