New Track: Feels Good – Tiny Boost

TINY BOOST gives us the first taste of his forthcoming project, coming in the form the heavyweight track ‘Feels Good.’

Known for his hard bars, direct and straight up delivery and ability to narrate us through his real-life experience and situations, the SN1 rapper comes through with a dark, looming beat coupled with gritty lyrics.

Since marking his return with debut solo mixtape release last Summer ‘Strictly For The Streets’ with features Giggs, K-Trap and Suspect, TINY BOOST has prepared and arsenal of new music that is set to make waves in the streets, radios, and clubs with his uncompromising sound.

TINY BOOST started out in PYG before Giggs took him under his wing, seeing the talent that he had to offer, taking him to film with tastemaker Westwood whilst he was still at school before there was even such a thing as crib sessions. He featured on Giggs’ 07 mixtape ‘Welcome To Boomzville,’ the legendary ‘Walk In Da Park’ and later on the pairs collaborative mixtape ‘Who Said Datback’ in 2009.

Album Review: Grinder – Oloff

If you’re a regular visitor to the blog and have heard OLOFF‘s previous releases, then you’ll know that he’s not your average rapper. To take his music to another level, OLOFF has recently dropped his experimental hip-hop album, ‘Grinder’, the first release he produced single-handedly.

A jarringly racy bass is the main feature of the seven-track set, which rips through the equally racy soundscapes, predominantly made up of rampant urban/EDM tones. The Bristolian, who usually sports a laid back and wayward flow, brings on a freestyle that’s delightfully aggressive which adds more spice to each track in the collection.

After recently listening to his previous albums, personally I wouldn’t say that ‘Grinder’ was OLOFF‘s best work, but I do admire his interpretation of alt-hip-hop and appreciate the amount of work and effort he has put into this mini collection.

Ryan De La Cruz Mixes R&B And Dream-Trap Seamlessly In ‘Stubborn’

22-year-old singer RYAN DE LA CRUZ returns with a trap tinged, R&B joint ‘Stubborn’, the second single off his forthcoming EP ‘Syko’

Originally launched into the spotlight in 2017 with single ‘Know About Me’, which quickly surpassed one million views and was crowned ’the best rap video of 2017′ by DJ Semtex, Ryan has been a tearing up the scene for a while. He is now back in full force following the success of his collaboration with Ghetts and S Wavey on ‘Player’ and critically acclaimed single ’Syko’ earlier this year.

Drawing influences from the likes of Michael Jackson, D’Angelo and Chris Brown as well as his tough East London upbringing, Ryan has been setting himself apart from the new generation of UK talent. He injects soulful R&B feels into his fruitful plethora of inspiration, while making it an aim to sing about real-life, important issues.

This upcoming EP is a true testament to this and highlights Ryan’s unique way of thinking. ‘Syko’ is a conceptual body of work, playing on the different facets of his personality with singles like ‘Stubborn’, ‘Crazy’, ‘Rockstar’ and of course, ‘Syko’. The project is an ode to being accepting of who you are, and as Ryan states: “We’ve all got a sense of craziness, be cool with that, it’s ok to be syko”. Using his passion for playing on the juxtaposition of emotion and concept, each track and video really highlight his undeniable eye for fashion and art that has forever been setting him apart from the rest.

With ‘Stubborn’ as a somewhat warm up for what’s he has under his sleeve – so brace yourself for his conceptual greatness! This young artist has truly up’ed the ante this year and this is only the beginning.
