Standing out like a diamond in the rough, South London Rapper RICKY BANKS comes through with latest single ‘Mood’. After releasing his EP Zero Balance, he began to see traction and gained listeners and supporters, which has seen him push more boundaries and take things more seriously to hone his craft and become an all rounder in the UK music scene.

Contributing to his wins so far, RICKY BANKS has made a name for himself by consistently releasing standout music over the past year and this time it comes in the form of ‘Mood’ ft North London rapper C Cane.

Produced by SSK, ‘Mood’ explores the different feelings, emotions that we all encounter, with an uplifting choppy beat complimenting and showcasing both RICKY BANKS and C Cane’s versatility and lyricism.

Talking about the single, the Old Kent Road based artist says ‘Sometimes we can be up, happy, excited, prideful, confident, however there are also times where we are down, frustrated, confused, upset, anger and depressed. I wanted to find a middle ground between both sides and feel the message of the track is too remain level headed. Never let situations and circumstances as hard as it sounds effect you because its all in your head. This life is a short one so you gotta enjoy it, even in the bad times.’

Song of the Day: Skin Good – Madison Paris

With her previous single ‘Triple’ with Bobii Lewis going down a storm and reaching new heights, rising songstress MADISON PARIS looks ready to go again with her next offering of 2019, the seductive new single ‘Skin Good’.

Enticing from the offset, it’s a smooth R&B cut that blooms into a truly tropical vibe that ways with its infectious melody. Her unmistakable soft and sensual vocals are the commanding centrepiece, enhancing the appeal of this track.

Song of the Day: Saw Her – Pound

After gaining rapid support from DJ Target and DJ Melody Kane across BBC Radio 1Xtra for their previous single ‘I Can’t Wait’, East London trio #POUND are ready to repeat their success with latest single ‘Saw Her’,

‘Saw Her’ flawlessly blends Afrobeat and Dancehall elements with a refreshing mix of wavy electro, produced by SupaWave, who is part of the upcoming trio. With vocals from SMXK£ and Darkboi on hand, #POUND achieved a current sound that commands attention. Filmed on the streets of Brick Lane, the energetic video features female passers by who just can’t get enough of that beat.

Starting out as rappers in Grime collectives like Kidz In The Hood and Mucky Wolf Pack, they started their career collaborating with respected MC’s like Crazy Titch and God’s Gift. At 15 years old, SMXK£ was even part of one of “Bow For The Wolves” a massive hit for Mucky Wolf Pack, which saw nationwide success in the heydays of Channel U.

Song of the Day: No Limit – Hannah V (ft. Shystie and Pepper Rose)

Song of the Day: More – Benny Bizzie

BENNY BIZZIE teams up with UK producer Cee Figures (Afro B, Tion Wayne, Chip) for the summer charged R&B/Afrobeat track entitled ‘More’, the second release from his forthcoming EP.

The UK R&B singer has previously collaborated with the likes of Ghetts and Wretch 32. Bizzie also received airplay from DJ Ace (BBC 1xtra), Ras Kwame and Charlie Sloth. He was also nominated for the UMA awards and featured on the SBTV top ten artists alongside Ed Sheeran and Jessie Ware.

‘More’ follows Bizzie’s debut single ‘Emotions’, which reached over 100k views on YouTube with the singer’s fanbase growing rapidly across all platforms.
