‘Honest’ reflects Harry’s signature sound which is a crossover of mellow beats and creative wordplay. As an artist, his unique ability to mend pop, rap, and R&B has segmented him in a category of his own drawing attention from industry powerhouses such as dvsn’s Nineteen85. Harry is now mentored and managed by ‘85, a music veteran and overall OVO hitmaker.

Harry’s career as a rapper, singer and songwriter began at a young age when he released his debut single ‘Summertime’ which entered the UK Urban Chart for over fifteen weeks in a row. Harry signed with Ministry of Sound soon after and released his highest chart topping song ‘Crush’ which earned the 26th spot on the UK charts. He later dropped ‘Go Hard’ ft MZ Bratt and Wiley and ‘Home’ ft Ed Sheeran and Sway. Harry’s first studio album is a collaboration with Nineteen85 and will be released this year.

Song of the Day: F**king Like King Kong – Marina Massanova

Artist/producer MARINA MASSANOVA sent shockwaves into the music-scene and beyond with her single ‘F*cking You Like King Kong’. Tik Tok banned her video for explicit content – and YouTube followed closely behind – but despite this, the mere corporate censorship would never slow her down; it would only serve to inspire her.

The single is built on sexually explicit, confident empowering vibes, and unapologetic self-expression – the fact that social media moved so quickly to ban Marina’s art & music only furthered the points she’s been making all along. As a result, “Fcking You Like King Kong” instantly became THE anthem for celebrating exactly who you are, and turning this life into everything you desire.

Providing a whole lotta FUN along the way in the process, the sensational, low-down & dirty electro-based, bass-driven beat is a perfect pairing with the spectacular charisma & X-factor talent of Marina’s extraordinary vocals. Combined with her new video, which intentionally turns the camera back towards society via a Zoom-inspired theme to hold the mirror up to who we are as the truest version of ourselves, ‘Fcking You Like King Kong’ becomes every bit as much of a riot to experience onscreen as it is through the speakers. Exploring what could happen if everyone in the Zoom room just let loose for a moment, turned the music UP where it belongs, and set themselves completely free to do whatever was on their mind – ‘Fcking You Like King Kong’ is ultimately about expression in its most beautiful forms.

Song of the Day: La La La – Rayne Storm (ft. Sticky Fingaz)

RAYNE STORM is back with a trail of singles (‘La La La’, ‘Old School, New School’ and ‘All Along’) coming off his upcoming album ‘AudioCity’. The project is described as a triple threat of collabs with Sticky Fingaz of Onyx, Swifty Mcvay of D12 & DMC of the iconic Hip-Hop group Run DMC.

Making it to today’s top spot, ‘La La La’ speaks on the effects of growing up around guns and gun violence with Sticky Fingaz doing double duty with a featured verse and chorus. With straight forward and honest lyrics, the track doesn’t glorify nor run from its truths and descriptive nature.

‘La La La’ makes a great introduction into Rayne’s album slated for release 21st February…but for now, get tuck in on the track below…

Song of the Day: Love Chase – Vaindi (ft. Overtuned)

At the age of only twenty one, VAINDI is a testament to the promise the younger generation has to offer. With the vigor, passion and drive embodied by her at this age, she will not only adapt to the music industry constantly in flux but also bring her vision to fruition by walking the perfect line to success.

With ‘Love chase’ as the headliner for the coming year, the Romanian singer is set to disperse into several audiences with her Contemporary RnB, Pop and Trap influences in the single. In the first few seconds the single rockets immediately into the glitch and retro world constructed via the beats on the bed of the song’s production. It almost builds an aura of haunting, until her infectious vocal delivery with the unravelling production couple together, pumping up the beats to the heart of the song – the chorus.

The melodrama in the dark spirited retro aura created is only furthered when the ever darkening lyrics from the song sphere into the song. ‘Love chase’ chases right to the adrenaline, chaos and intensity in the most profound of relationships. Check it out below…

Song of the Day: If (Remixes) – Kemi Sulola

Since British R&B singer KEMI SULOLA has made such an impression on you guys with her single titled ‘IF’ (featured on the blog back in October 2021), I thought I’d give you an update on the remixes of the smooth R&B number.

The IF More Night Remix gives the R&B version a UK Garage makeover which carries over Kemi Sulola’s infectious UK R&B and pop sensibilities from the original track. Producer MoreNight, whose previous credits include working with Manga Saint Hilare, Scrufizzer and Footsie, to mention a few, all but turns the original track on its head and transforms it into a sun-soaked dance floor filler. The captivating UK Garage remix adds another dimension to ‘IF’, with its glorious bass-line, infectious drum patterns and lush synths. The remix has already gained support on BBC Radio and part of the CDPool Beats November CD of new releases. Have a listen below…

The IF Andre Solid Remix– Kemi works with the Grammy nominated beat maker and producer Andre Solid, who has worked with the likes of Randy Valentine, Tippa Irie, Marla Brown and Gappy Ranks to name a few. This collaboration gives IF its new flare, but also introduces the world to Kemi’s first official reggae release. Opening with a warm stack of vocal harmonies and cymbal sounds gives this remix a grand introduction to the reggae beat and base that comes soon after, making us enjoy the calming sounds. Supported by colourful radio, the reggae fraternity UK and the Off Beat Reggae show.
