Song of the Day: Exposed – Neela

NEELA has leant a lot from making her latest single, ‘Exposed’. Pure, raw and unapologetically her, the young songstress used this song to begin the healing process of years of feeling insecure – and is now ready to share her experience.

“I used to weigh 240 lbs for most of my life,” Neela confides. “I’ve been scrutinized and bullied for my body size. Although my body went through a transformation, it also left stretch marks and loose skin. These experiences created a lot of insecurities and it’s been a journey to accept and love my story, body, and identity.”

‘Exposed’ is also about experiencing that unconditional love where one can be their true self. The single is the title track from Neela’s upcoming EP – be sure to look out for that. Until then, why not listen to the heartfelt single below…

OUT TODAY: Eva Rawlings Shares Single, ‘5 Steps’

Following her singles ‘LIKE ME’ and ‘Tell Me What You Like,’ Pop/R&B artist EVA RAWLINGS returns with her empowering breakup anthem, ‘5 Steps.’ Inspired by an ex’s bad post-breakup behavior, ‘5 Steps’ showcases Eva’s passionate vocals set to a driving trap beat. Crafted with 11x platinum producer Ian Kimmel, the track delivers a catchy, danceable chorus while tapping into the bitter experience of seeing an ex move on.

Eva says of the track, “My idea was to write one of those counting down songs that went viral, but make it not corny. I liked the idea of writing a snarky song to your ex who got over you way too fast, spelling out what they must have done to be doing fine so quickly after the breakup. So many great producers and writers helped make this song what it is, and we finished it that day, so from the inception of the concept to it being mixed and mastered was less than 24 hours.”

A passionate social activist and feminist, Eva’s’ latest single, ‘LIKE ME,’ was created entirely by women, with streaming proceeds from the single pledged to U.S. abortion funds. She also organized and performed in a fundraiser show with other Berklee acts raising money for an organization to end gun violence. Eva continues to empower listeners with her latest single, ‘5 Steps,’ which is out now across platforms. Have a listen below….

Song of the Day: Hero – Klaudia Keziah

Upcoming songstress KLAUDIA KEZIAH confronts the difficulties of modern-day dating, in her latest unapologetic-yet-sultry single named, ‘Hero’.

With the aim to inspire and empower many women around the world, Klaudia Keziah has delivered a slice of sensual heaven that enables women to feel confident in themselves. Underpinned with a pop and R&B infused production courtesy of Jojo F (ArrDee, Deno, Tion Wayne, Sarkodie, Unknown T), the single is paired with a set of old-school visuals that contrast against the displeasures of modern-day dating; the black-and-white-washed shots don’t distract from the message laying beneath the upbeat production.

Speaking on the meaning behind the track Klaudia commented, “For me, ‘Hero’ was inspired by a conversation I had with my girlfriends about how some guys slide into the DM’s or even cat call us women in the street. They’re “flexy” approach from the jump about how much money they have or what car they drive is not impressive because I can get those things for myself. A lot of the lyrics are things men have said to me or my friends from experience and through the song I almost get to answer these situations from my point of view.”

Gaining previous support from Wonderland, Raydar Magazine, Industry Me, DJ Ace at BBC Radio 1Xtra, Radio 2’s ‘Funky Playlist’, Voice FM, Wordplay Magazine, We Are Beyond Noise, BBC Introducing, The Hype Magazine and more, ‘Hero’ follows up from the 2021 release ‘Dedicated’ that swiftly caught the attention of various tastemakers and publications. Growing up between England and Lithuania, Klaudia from a young age sprouted a love for music when picking up both the cello and piano. Now a self-taught producer, songwriter and singer, the budding talent has built a growing fan base that are eager for her next move. With more music on the way, Klaudia Keziah is ready to showcase the world her music!
