Listen To Credle’s new single ‘The Chase’

Introducing upcoming artist CREDLE and his new single titled ‘The Chase’, which no doubt will be an instant favourite for those who love house music and Afrobeats. A deep soulful four-on-the-floor pattern perfectly blends with Credle’s vocals which gives off a rich Motherland feel.

Born and raised in South Jamaica, Queens Credle’s love for music ignited when his father began directing the choir where he was a member until he was in high school.

After leaving the choir, Credle began to fall in love with the art of poetry. He saw his words on the page and felt he had found an outlet to express the emotions he often could not share as a young black kid growing up in Southside Jamaica Queens. After some time, he began to explore the combination of melodies as well as rhymes and took to the art of rapping. During his college years, Credle fully committed himself to creating music.

Also a songwriter and music executive, Credle is a CEO/Founder of Credle Entertainment.

JUNO Award nominated R&B artist Emanuel shares new single ‘Worldwide’ + Lyric Video

Canadian R&B phenom EMANUEL‘s latest single ‘Worldwide’ captures a time when dreams were still dreams – before his music was streamed millions of times around the globe and his talent was admired by fans and critics alike.

Created in his producer/collaborator Bedroom’s basement, Emanuel recalls that the lyrics “floated up to the surface” as ‘Worldwide’ spontaneously took shape: “During that time, we were really dreaming out loud in the way that we would talk about our futures and in the way that we were trying to summon this grand reality. This song was really born from the deep want to take the music to the world.” Years later, ‘Worldwide’ has morphed from a manifestation mantra into a song of celebration and a prayer for the future.

“This past year has been a great learning experience for what it means to really manifest something and be appreciative of the things you’ve been able to uncover and draw from within yourself and make reality,” says Emanuel. “But even though we’ve manifested certain aspects of the song – and that’s a beautiful thing – it still wants to be seen out in its fullness. ‘Worldwide’ is a song of affirmation and it’s become a prayer to be able to continue until all of those goals are met in their completion.”

The dream to connect with people in the cities and countries he sings about is still very real for Emanuel since the pandemic has prevented him from bringing his music to stages around the world. “It’s wild to me how prophetic music can be. I’m still imagining going to those places, smelling the air, performing in front of crowds, and being able to truly live out what the song is talking about: to be able to take the message, the energy we bring, the light we’ve been blessed with; to be able to share that while also being open to receiving wisdom and exporting that back so we can enrich the places we’re in. That beautiful exchange, that’s the heart of it.”

Mixed by Gary Noble (Amy Winehouse, Nas, Public Enemy), “Worldwide” is the final glimpse into ALT THERAPY, Emanuel’s inaugural full-length project, before the album makes its eagerly anticipated debut on June 16th.

Earlier this Spring, Emanuel was honoured with his first JUNO Award nomination. His critically acclaimed debut EP Session 1: Disillusion has been nominated for Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year which will be awarded at the 50th Annual JUNO Awards this June.

Rapper Queenie Comes Through With ‘One Thing’

A true artist in her own lane, South London rapper on-the-rise QUEENIE, slams down one slick delivery on her latest single, ‘One Thing’ once again showcases her lyrical prowess and effortless flow.

Queenie began making a name for herself on the grime scene during its grassroots stages, being known for a Female Allstars track, and her part in DVD’s like ‘Southern Hospitality’ and ‘Practice Hours’. Fellow female rapper Lioness also called on Queenie to join with five other powerful female rappers on the huge ‘DBT Remix’, that went on to gain wide spread support online and across radio. Following this, Queenie decided to give music a real chance and went on to release ‘Smoke’, ‘Laid Out’ and ‘Anymore’. Queenie featured on a track with Taliifah, entitled ‘Open Season’ and her biggest release to date ‘Letting up Now’ is still making the rounds. Right now, Queenie is focused on building her catalogue and finding her tribe of people.

On this project we see Queenie diversifying her sound and showcasing a more rhythmic style pattern, in comparison to the more grime-esque skippy flow we’ve become accustomed to hearing from her. ‘One Thing’ is a sign of great things to come from Queenie.

Look out for the her Forté EP dropping on the 21st May…but for now, wrap your ear around this….

Art Block Shares Touching Single, ‘Brother’

I first heard the single, ‘Brother’ on Instagram and the heart-wrenching acoustic arrangements immediately touched my soul (which is a rare occasion!) I had to reach out to the person behind the beautiful single, East London-based folk singer/songwriter ART BLOCK and expressed my admiration for his latest offering and in turn, he submitted his single.

So I’m absolutely delighted to share ‘Brother’ with you guys, among a pool of other talented newcomers here on NEW LEASE MUSIC.

Produced by Ian Barter, who recently produced Gabrielle’s covers album, ‘Do It Again’, piano-led ‘Brother’ heavily possesses Art’s main influences, Radiohead and Jeff Buckley, where I get a sense that this amazing storyteller narratives a story of betrayal, through his magically delicate vocal performance.

‘Brother’ is out now on all good download/streaming sites…why not check out the video for the single below…
