K Harrison Makes His Debut With Brand New Single, ‘Boss (Call Away)’

Following his own experiences working with stars including Ed Sheeran, and being championed by U.S Rapper The Game, Derby native K HARRISON launches his solo career with the release of his single ‘Boss (Call Away)’.

Produced by Certi Beats, the fiery single is an ode to the female ‘Boss’. With Mediterranean synths and a deep reverberating bass making up the backbone of the record, K Harrison effortlessly slides on to the beat for a soul-shaking performance that captures the passion, desire and enchantment of the lyrics.

Fondly dubbed the ‘Fresh Prince of Derby’, the emerging artist has developed a strong local following of fans and music critics. With a love for his craft and live performance, he has also stretched his legs across the globe, performing in countries across Europe and Asia and even finding a slot on the mainstage at BST Hyde park in front of 70,000 people where he performed a full set on the Barclaycard stage.

Currently focused on building his career and an extensive catalogue of music, the last year has seen him stay closer to home and set up camp in the studio where he has built a wealth of new tracks that are set to be released as his debut album in the not-too-distant future. Leading the charge on the music is ‘Boss (Call Away)’ and if it’s anything to go by, then we’ll be hearing a lot more of K Harrison from now on. Check out the official video for single below…

Song of the Day: Without Me – Celine Ellis

Hailing from Northamptonshire (UK), accomplished singer-songwriter and independent recording artist CELINE ELLIS has 20 years of songwriting tucked under her belt and has been around a block or two, and down enough roads to have a few stories to tell. Songs like ‘Without Me’ and ‘Fallen Angel’ show us just how deeply Celine see’s the world, and she conveys this with such honesty and grit. ‘Drive On Through’ shows us her adventurous, playful side, and really brings home that catchy, singable chorus that defines any road trip playlist.

‘Without Me’ is the latest of Celine’s original releases and will be the lead single on her brand new EP being announced soon. Inspired by a quote written by a friend on Facebook, Celine was encouraged to confront a previous breakup and write what she had wanted to say all those moments ago…

Echoing the melancholy of the lyrics with a stripped back arrangement, the track demonstrates a gentle vulnerability and delivers a pensive look at this situation.

Have a listen to ‘Without Me’ – and I guarantee you that this stunning single will grab your heart from the very start.

Watch Classified’s Video for Track, ‘Day Doesn’t Die (Retrospected)’

Hip hop artist, songwriter and producer CLASSIFIED (aka Luke Boyd) shares a look into his life growing up in a small neighbourhood in Enfield, Nova Scotia with his latest acoustic version and video for ‘Day Doesn’t Die (Retrospected)’, the second release from the anticipated RETROSPECTED, his forthcoming hip-hop acoustic album due out later this spring.

With appearances from Classified’s parents, his grandfather’s best friend and mention of his friends and neighbours, ‘Day Doesn’t Die (Retrospected)’ offers viewers an intimate and emotional look at the subdivision where Classified grew up, while at the same time sharing the message that even though time has passed and things have changed, what remains (for life) are the memories and impact the community has had on his life.

About the song, Classified shares, “To me, the DNA for Day Doesn’t Die is about learning how to forgive people. A lesson I’ve learned is that holding grudges for so long isn’t healthy and we do need to let go to grow as individuals. While writing this song I wanted to dig deeply into my emotional side, and I think the chorus really helps get across the hope that I want this song to be for people. I’m not saying that we forget past wrongs, but I think the activity of reflecting and letting go is a much healthier state of being.
