New Track: Strangers – Selci

Following the release of the dreamy video for lead single ‘Truth in the Sea’,  alt-pop producer SELCI  shares second single, ‘Strangers’, taken from her debut ‘Effervescence’ EP, due out independently on 28th August.

The latest single perfectly displays the Calgary artist’s prowess as a budding electronic producer abounds. In a series of flashbacks, SELCI recalls the painful process of breaking up as each verse playing out like a final, one-sided exchange and desperate plea for an answer.

Over the past year, SELCI has shared bills with Neon Indian and Ryan Hemsworth and played festivals such as Canadian Music Week, Sled Island Music & Arts Festival, Big Fun Festival, and more. Her Effervescence Tour will cross Canada in October of 2019.

Song of the Day: Peanut Butter Hazel – Bellah

Singer-songwriter BELLAH Bellah makes her entry onto the blog with latest single, ‘Peanut Butter Hazel’. The track is the second single to be released from upcoming EP, “Last Train Home”, following recent debut, “Never Loved”.

Produced by classically-trained jazz musician Alexander Lewis, known for his work with Earth Gangand Juice WRLD, the track is underpinned by a timeless R&B sound – with its minimalist beat proving an ideal match for Bellah’s irresistible vocals and sensual lyrics.

Making the decision to focus on her own music at the age of 17, BELLAH‘s profile continues to rise, recently achieving widespread support on Capital Xtra and BBC Radio 1Xtra for her work on ‘Purpose’ by Ulteria, as well as featuring on Courage’s ‘Long Way Up’.

‘Peanut Butter Hazel’ further showcases BELLAH’s voice to become a mainstay within the British R&B scene.
