Slatt ZY Drops Track, ‘Beautiful Scars’ + Video

After piling up millions of streams and earning critical acclaim from Lyrical Lemonade, EARMILK, HotNewHipHop, and more, Chattanooga, Tennessee’s brightest star SLATT ZY reveals the new emotionally charged single and music video ‘Beautiful Scars.’

On the track, 808s skitter beneath the airy production as his melodic rhymes exert a magnetic pull. It culminates on the hypnotic hook, “I make the struggle look beautiful.” In the accompanying visual directed by ZAEVISUALS, he raps to the camera in front of a cold city backdrop. The clip intercuts moments of Slatt Zy outside with intimate romantic moments under a grainy filter. The momentum mirrors the ebb and flow of his unpredictable cadence.

Slatt Zy has turned heads throughout 2021. ‘Lean On’ has amassed nearly 2 million video views with ‘Don’t You Fold’ nearing the million mark too. The two tracks showcase his versatility as he details his biggest struggles and celebrates his unlikeliest triumphs. Together, they’re a captivating reintroduction to his melodic, reflective trap music.

Asem Comes Through With Infectious Track, ‘PEW PEW’

An infectiously deep trap/drill bass line introduces Nana Wiafe Asante-Mensah – aka – ASEM’s latest joint, ‘PEW PEW.’ Released on December 15, the track is quickly enticing both fans and new listeners.

Although the track can be described as atmospherically dark, the rapper still maintains his famous vibrant flow, jammed-packed witty, and laugh-out-loud wordplay. Before ‘PEW PEW,’ Asem had already shared the stage with big acts like Ja Rule, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross. And it won’t be surprising to see him on top very soon.

Now out on various music platforms, ‘PEW PEW’ is the third and final release from Asem’s forthcoming EP ‘Weather Channel’ – be sure to look out for that!

In the meantime, have a listen to the fiery joint below…

Ashton Russell Drops Track, ‘Might As Well’ + Video

Receiving support from Spin Millz on Reprezent and Kalex Willzy on This Is Westside, Direction Recordingz and London’s upcoming artist, ASHTON RUSSELL release the brand new single ‘Might Aswell’.

Accompanied by cinematic visuals directed by Ashton himself and Sponge, the radio-ready anthem sees Ashton delivering melodic vocals amongst bars that echo the sentiment of living a ‘YOLO’ lifestyle at life’s crossroads.

With his ability to create a genre-fluid sound, Ashton endeavours to become a household name with this impressive new single. The piano-laced production on this record comes from Power and Zay.
